The Belair Cooperative Nursery School, established in 1962, is one of the oldest preschools in the City of Bowie. The school is a non-profit, non-sectarian, and non-partisan organization. It has been accredited by the Maryland State Department of Education since 1970. The Belair Cooperative Nursery School rents classroom space from the Christian Community Presbyterian Church on Belair Drive in Bowie. Our purpose is to provide children with a group experience that extends the values of family life by fostering a sense of community involvement. It is the philosophy of the school to encourage student awareness of and participation in one’s natural, social, and cultural environment. The school attempts to provide a program which is appropriate to the child’s stage of development and which is satisfying to him or her. The school introduces the students to music appreciation as well as Spanish. We strive to recognize the unique characteristics and abilities of each child and to cultivate in each a love of learning and a consideration of others. Parental involvement is an essential part of a cooperative school. The parents form the Board of Directors and govern the entire program. They hire the teachers, assist in planning the educational program, and participate in the classroom on a rotating basis as teacher’s aides.

Our missions is to serve young children by providing a developmentally appropriate curriculum that enhances self-esteem and promotes problem-solving skills, and fosters healthy emotional, social, physical, language and intellectual growth. Our program helps build a community of active, engaged learners and families. Westville Community Nursery School (WCNS) began offering its services in 1971. The purpose of the school is to make available an enriching preschool program for three and four year olds. The Board of Directors, staff and all those involved in WCNS’ policy formulation and implementation are committed to providing a quality inclusive program that will serve and benefit children and families from all ethnic, religious and socio-economic backgrounds.

Founded in 1933, MCPC is a non-profit, parent's cooperative preschool. We are a supportive community of 25 disparate families, working together to facilitate our children's development and to operate our beloved school. Our programs include a two-year weekday morning preschool, and classes for toddlers and their parents or caregivers.

The Little Spanish-English School serves students and families of the underserved through a comprehensive, quality and affordable private education.

The Acton Barn Cooperative Preschool School (The Barn) is a non-profit 501(c)(3) early educational organization in Acton Massachusetts. Our school provides a warm, safe, creative learning experience for preschoolers. The cooperative model promotes collaboration between families and professional educators and celebrates the unique journey of every child.
