We will contribute to the reconstruction of Syria by providing educational support to the Syrian people living in and outside of Syria. We will also educate people in Japan about the history and current situation in Syria, and through activities to learn and think about international cooperation and peace, we will develop human resources who will act for peace.

Premiere Urgence Internationale envisions a world where crisis-affected people have the means to meet their vital needs and shape their own future. We see access to healthcare, food, water, education, protection and safe housing as fundamental human rights and essential to all aspects of community well-being. With 40 years of experience in the humanitarian and development aid sector, Premiere Urgence Internationale is an independent French NGO, operating in 25 countries worldwide. Recognized by our peers and partners as "the last mile NGO", we intervene in crisis settings, particularly in the hardest-to-reach areas, to support populations affected by the effects of natural disasters, war, epidemics or economic collapse. In 2023, we assisted 5 million children, women, and men across four continents, making our NGO a key humanitarian player: -Because our 3,000 field staff understand the complexity of situations and local cultures, -Because we work hand in hand with local, national, and regional authorities and actors, as well as with communities, from the needs assessment stage, -Because our deep, holistic and agile expertise draws on complementary areas of competence - health, food security, nutrition, infrastructure rehabilitation and construction, water access, hygiene and sanitation, economic recovery and access to livelihoods, education and protection - we are able to respond: 1)in emergencies, to treat and manage physical, mental, or material trauma, 2) and beyond the emergency phase, to address the longer-term effects of crises, prevent recurrence risks and restore the ability of vulnerable populations to act on the path to resilience and development.

We work hard to provide the learners with essential tools, materials and high-end technology to support their learning experience and ensure they have access to knowledge regardless of their geographical location. Humans in the Loop is a hybrid between a non-profit foundation and a for-profit social enterprise which has been working for the past 6 years towards the inclusion of refugees and conflict-affected people in the AI supply chain, as well as in the digital work field, through upskilling and paid remote work opportunities. Our shared mission is to provide a diverse group of conflict-affected and displaced people with access to career development support, upskilling, and remote work opportunities to train and monitor AI systems. We are active across the Middle East, Europe, and Africa, and our work related opportunities are primarily focused on communities affected by armed conflict and are distributed with priority to countries where other remote online job opportunities are unavailable as for example Syria, Afghanistan, Iraq, Lebanon. In our additional partner countries Turkey, Bulgaria, Ukraine, Moldova, and the DRC, with upcoming pilots in Kenya and Uganda, we concentrate on upskilling opportunities, equipping people with freelance related skills and then further supporting them in applying for remote work on platforms such as UpWork through our Mictrofreelancing self-paced course. Our foundation has its own training platform where we conduct trainings in English, Digital Skills, as well as data annotation skills and remote work, and everything is available online. We have developed our own proprietary modules on topics such as bias in AI and ethical AI, Cybersecurity when working online, and data annotation techniques, as well as professional courses which are either instructor-led or self-paced on topics such as Digital Marketing, Intro to Programming, Intro to Graphic Design, or Intro to Business Analytics. To date, more than 500 individuals have completed courses on our platform. Now, we want to develop our course offerings further by developing new courses on generative AI skills and real-time monitoring of AI systems, performing red team testing on AI systems, and providing feedback for reinforcement learning. Many of our trainees are already working for our social enterprise as data annotators, working on projects related to image labelling, data collection, and real-time monitoring and edge case handling of AI systems. To date, we have provided paid remote employment to more than 1,100 people. Our goal is to ensure that they progress further in their careers in the AI field and to provide them with opportunities to access further employment on freelancing platforms, or with other employers. We have partnered before with Upwork's "Opportunity Unlimited" program in order to introduce them to online freelancing, and we also have a small-scale career counselling program. Now, our goal is to expand these career development programs in order to help our graduates join the workforce of the future and contribute to making AI systems more inclusive and mitigate harmful biases.

Association for Aid and Relief, Japan(AAR Japan) is a Non-Governmental Organization ( NGO ) aiming to provide emergency assistance, assistance to people with disabilities, and mine action, among other operations. It was established in 1979 as an organization with no political, ideological, or religious affiliation. AAR currently has offices in 10 countries.

Our goals: Focus on child rights by mitigating violations through legal means, both locally and internationally. Ensure the right to human dignity for refugees and arbitrarily detained individuals in multiple countries, addressing refugee problems based on the principle of personal security in safe and adequate housing. Monitor and document violations involving children and women, mobilize national and international public opinion, and bring these violations to international human rights bodies through legal means. Implement awareness-raising courses and programs on human rights issues. Propose projects for the development of training programs. Propose laws compliant with international human rights conventions. Collaborate with scientific and intellectual institutions, as well as enhance coordination and networking with other centers and civil society organizations.
