The Center for Excellence in Education (CEE) has a successful history of contributing to the scientific leadership of this country. CEE was founded in 1983 by the late Admiral H. G. Rickover, the father of the nuclear navy and of civilian uses of nuclear power and Joann DiGennaro, CEE's President. They recognized that the nurturing of careers of excellence and leadership in science and technology in young scholars is an essential investment in our national and global future. CEE is a private, (501)(c)(3) not-for-profit corporation that provides cost-free programs to its student scholars through collaboration with educational institutions, private foundations, corporations and government agencies who share a commitment to educational excellence and leadership in science and technology. Central to all of CEE's programs is the understanding that talent in scientific and mathematical disciplines achieves its greatest fulfillment of promise when it is nurtured from an early age. All programs are designed to provide the ongoing nurturing that will assure that the nation and the world benefit from the future leadership that will come from fulfillment of the promise shown by the students accepted to participate.

Communities In Schools Pittsburgh-Allegheny County (CISPAC) is an affiliate of the nation's largest stay-in-school network. Nationally, Communities In Schools (CIS) is the nation's leading dropout prevention organization, and the only one proven to both decrease dropout rates and increase graduation rates. CIS emphasizes 5 Basics. We believe that every child needs and deserves: 1. A personal one-on-one relationship with a caring adult 2. A safe place to learn and grow 3. Tandem, Partners in Early Learning engages families, educators, and communities to surround young children with interactive learning opportunities that build early language and literacy skills, strengthen social and emotional skills, and foster a lifelong love of learning. Tandem focuses on our communities' youngest children, who are at greatest risk: those in low-income families, children of color, English language learners, and children who are not enrolled in preschool or formal care.

High Tech Kids delivers fun, hands-on science, engineering and technology programs and events that inspire Minnesota kids in their formative years. We inspire kids to BUILD confidence, CREATE opportunities and THRIVE in the 21st century.

Protecting the Caribbean environment through research and community-based action

Founded in 1964, California Poets in the Schools (CalPoets) is one of the largest literary artists-in-residence programs in the nation. We encourage students throughout California to recognize and celebrate their creativity, intuition, and intellectual curiosity through the creative poetry writing process. We provide students with a multicultural community of published poets, specially trained to bring their experience and love for their craft into the classroom. CalPoets serves 26,000 students annually in hundreds of public and private schools, juvenile halls, after-school programs, hospitals, and other community settings.

The objects of the Charity are for the public benefit: (1) to advance the education of the public in the subject of Libyan culture and heritage; (2) to develop the capacity and skills of the socially disadvantaged members of the diaspora Libyan community within the United Kingdom in such a way that they are better able to: (i) identify, and help meet, their needs; and (ii) more fully participate in, and contribute positively to, British society; and (3) to advance such charitable purposes (according to the law of England and Wales) as the trustees see fit from time to time. Libya in the UK (LYUK) is an independent non-governmental organisation led by Libyan youth living in the diaspora. We seek to be a hub for Libyans in the UK to foster a shared sense of community. We provide a platform for networking and knowledge sharing for all Libyans and implement initiatives to advance Libyan art, culture, young talent and entrepreneurship. Ultimately, LYUK aims to build a vibrant and diverse Libyan community in the UK. Our core values are independence and integrity and we strive for excellence in all areas of our work.
