Established in Italy in 2020, Teach for Italy - Insegnare per l'Italia is a not-forprofit organisation working to strengthen the Italian education system, and address growing educational inequalities. The organization recruits the best undergraduates, graduates or young professionals and places them in a higher education Fellowship program lasting two years, with the aim of bringing them into the Italian educational ecosystem. In these two years, teachers-Fellows teach in schools where the challenges of educational poverty is greatest, while being trained and supported to become "transformative teachers", committed to shaping not only the educational outcomes of their students, but also their view of the world and their identities. Through its activities, Teach For Italy promotes a future where all students at all levels, from pre-school to secondary school, can realize their aspirations, regardless of their economic and social background and the educational level of their family. Our mission is to strengthen the Italian education system. Our goal is to generate impact on three levels: in the classroom, in communities surrounding our schools and in the broader educational ecosystem. In the aftermath of the Challenger accident, the crew’s families came together, firmly committed to the belief that they must carry on the spirit of their loved ones by continuing the Challenger crew’s educational mission. Their efforts resulted in the creation of Challenger Center for Space Science Education. Challenger Center and its global network of Challenger learning centers use space-themed simulated learning and role-playing strategies to help students bring their classroom studies to life and cultivate skills needed for future success, such as problem solving, critical thinking, communication and teamwork. A not-for-profit 501(c)(3) education organization, Challenger Center reaches hundreds of thousands of students, and tens of thousands of teachers every year. Project1808 promotes sustainable community development in Kabala, Koinadugu District, Sierra Leone by aiding young students in their efforts to identify and address the root causes of poverty, public and environmental health challenges, and other community-identified concerns. Among our project's specific aims are the following: Fostering academic excellence and nurturing a resilient knowledge base through student mentoring, tutoring, internships, and teacher training programs. Stimulating curiosity, creativity, and innovation through student generated projects that enhance knowledge and encourage students to implement their ideas in ways that benefit their communities. Facilitating local and global partnerships for knowledge exchange, training for students, teachers and community members, student mentoring, and resources to sustain the community knowledge base Our Model Project1808 Model for sustainable development At the core of our sustainable community model is an investment in disadvantaged youth, schools, and their communities to form the building blocks as LEGOs of healthy communities in Sierra Leone and Africa. Through specific GLocal (Global and Local) partnerships, we practice the concept of thinking globally and acting locally, enhancing the exchange of knowledge, increasing the cultural competency, and expanding the worldview of all of our participants. Project1808 is committed to optimizing partnerships between educational institutions locally, within Africa and overseas, particularly with the involvement of other African countries. We want to bring back hope to youths (and whole communities) whose lives, homes, families, schools, infrastructure, institutions were destroyed by 11 years of war in Sierra Leone.

Right now, the education sector across Australia is facing immense and urgent challenges. Young people are grappling with a system that struggles to support them to achieve their potential. Overburdened teachers are leaving the profession in droves, and there's fewer new graduates taking their place. Schools are under-resourced with the specialists they need to deliver a quality education for their students. The gap in outcomes between the most-advantaged and least-advantaged communities is already deep - and still growing. Our most marginalised and vulnerable students are being left behind. But together, we can do something about it. Established in 2009, Teach For Australia's vision is an Australia where education gives all children, regardless of background, greater choice for their future: and the ability to pursue the life opportunities they deserve. Research tells us quality teaching and leadership are major factors in making this happen. Improving teacher quality offers the greatest policy strategy to positively impact the educational outcomes of students. And school leadership is second only to teaching among all school-related factors that contribute to student learning. Raising students' achievement and driving equity into the education system depends on the effectiveness of teachers. So we're growing a community of leaders committed to equity for children by recruiting and developing exceptional people to teach and lead across the country. - We rigorously recruit high-calibre people from all walks of life to join our flagship Leadership Development Program; a unique two-year placement opportunity that sees successful candidates (known as 'Associates') work hands-on in secondary schools while studying their Masters in Education - We train and support them to become exceptional teachers who can give students the knowledge, skills and confidence to realise their potential. Associates work in the schools that need them the most: we partner exclusively with schools serving low socioeconomic communities. More than half of our partner schools are in regional, rural or remote communities. As subject specialists, Associates fill real vacancies in hard-to-staff positions; particularly in the critically in-demand science, technology, engineering and maths learning areas. We recognise quality teaching is only part of the picture - so we also invest in developing and supporting quality leadership as we seek to disrupt the status quo. - We energise and challenge our people to become agents of change against educational inequity; empowered to drive long-term transformational reform and innovation in education. We've established a pipeline of future leaders, with half of our teaching Alumni taking on formal school leadership roles. They're creating change not just as year-level coordinators, curriculum designers, subject leads and instructional coaches, but through school executive and principal-class positions. - Through our Teach To Lead and Future Leaders Program initiatives, we've helped more than 200 emerging school leaders build on their experience and insight as educators and grow into invaluable leaders who can raise school and student outcomes. In our first fourteen years we've supported hundreds of schools and thousands of vulnerable students - but we know there's so much more to do. The Young Alchemists Foundation, was founded in 2015. A patriotic foundation -guardians of our youth, protectors of the planet and defenders of World Peace. Our mission to plant the seed of patriotism and World Peace into the hears of American children. The Young Alchemists will launch the YOUNG AMERICAN PATRIOT SILENT PLEDGE INITIATIVE, a petition to Congress that ask for sixty seconds of silence at the beginning of the school day for students of all religions and cultures to pledge in silence love, respect and gratitude to the God of their hearts, family, country, teachers and all humanity. The Young Alchemists Foundation will also launch THE SCIENCE KIDS ART CONTEST. A national campaign inspired in the American culture for students of all ages. Students can participate in the fields of music, poetry, creative writing, painting.
From Books to Brilliance provides access to books and educational materials in impoverished communities. Countless children in our world grow up with no books. In Nicaragua and Guatemala, many of the rural poor live on less than one dollar a day. Without access to basic services such as potable water and sanitation, families struggle just to survive each day. Books are rarely found. At the local schools, teachers plan lessons and instruct with no textbooks. Children fortunate enough to attend school learn to read from words written on the blackboard, but without books cannot read to learn. Few children reach their intellectual potential. We believe that in creating access to books and information, a better future becomes possible for citizens living in abject poverty.
PUENTE’s mission is stated within its name: People United to Enrich the Neighborhood Through Education. “Puente” is also the Spanish word for “bridge.” Since 1985, the organization has offered a bridge to opportunity by addressing barriers preventing individuals in its at-risk neighborhoods from building strong educational foundations and achieving financial self-sufficiency. PUENTE provides California Standards-aligned classroom instruction to more than 4,100 children, youth, and adults annually. Its tuition-free services address the needs of the entire family – enabling children to develop a life-long love of learning, helping parents to be their children’s first teachers, supporting youth as they move toward high school graduation, and assisting adults in need of English-language competency and workforce skills.
Our mission is to connect young people to a world of career possibilities, inspire them to dream big, and empower them to fulfil their potential. We do this by operating as a hub for education and employer engagement: running events in schools and businesses, providing a mentoring programme for young people at risk, facilitating work experience placements, and promoting apprenticeships and other education or employment pathways to students, teachers and parents. By giving young people access to a wide range of professionals from their local business community, we help them make informed decisions about their future careers. We are particularly concerned that young people learn about opportunities with huge growth potential - like careers in STEM - and are challenged to achieve their full potential. The group, composed of a cross section of the Community, prides itself in sponsoring academic activities such as the Math Olympiad, an after-school basic astronomy program which links NASA at the Bayonne High School Planetarium, an after-school Literacy Enrichment Program, The Reading Café, and awards ten $500 mini-grants to teachers who submit innovative ideas for enhancing Curricula.
The GWHS Alumni Association ensures GWHS' status as San Francisco's leading comprehensive public high school, enabling faculty to provide all students with opportunity for academic success at GWHS and beyond, and strengthen graduates' bonds with each other and with GWHS, by: - funding over $33,000 in fiscal year 2021-22 to teachers and coaches for classroom supplies and student activities. - giving over $28,000 in scholarships to over 3 dozen deserving graduating seniors in May 2022. - sharing alumni and school news and publicizing reunions and related events to over 6,600 alumni members by mail, email and social media. - honoring distinguished graduates with Hall of Merit and Lifetime Service Awards. - preserving and documenting GWHS' rich history with personal interviews and archiving artifacts and ephemera we plan to display in a permanent location.
YGA is a non-governmental non-profit organization founded in Turkey. It cultivates a double-winged youth to make us hopeful for the future of the world. These young individuals improve their two wings - conscience and competency - while developing international projects that provide social benefits. Science Movement is a social responsibility project initiated by YGA to make children love science. Science Movement is aimed to grow self-confident individuals who can think free of boundaries and develop authentic projects. Under the scope of the protocol signed with the Ministry of Education, 10 science kits will be sent to each secondary school that is in need of science material in every corner of Turkey. Teachers in schools that received science kits have access to a platform, in which they have rich experimental content as well as examples of in-class use of the science kits.
