Our Mission: Patient Advocate Foundation (PAF) is a national 501 (c)(3) non-profit organization which provides case management services and financial aid to Americans with chronic, life threatening and debilitating illnesses. RespectAbility was founded to correct and prevent the current disparity of justice for people with disabilities. National Sea Rescue Institute of South Africa

The National Sea Rescue Institute (NSRI) is the charity that saves lives on South African waters. Established in 1967, the NSRI is a registered non-profit organisation that is committed to drowning prevention and focusses on saving lives, changing lives, and creating futures for those threatened by immersion or submersion in water in South Africa. Our Rescue Services are run by nearly 1500 highly skilled, unpaid volunteers who are on call 24/7 at 47 rescue bases along the coast of South Africa and at inland dams and waterways. Our Drowning Prevention initiatives include preventative measures such as Pink Rescue Buoys for emergency flotation, emergency signage, rescue swimmers, lifeguards, active patrols during peak seasons, and drowning prevention training such as Water Safety Education and Survival Swimming lessons in under-resourced communities throughout South Africa. The NSRI is entirely funded through donations and sponsorships.

Indiana Institute for Global Health, Inc.

Academic Model Providing Access to Healthcare (AMPATH) was created in 2001 in response to the HIV crisis in western Kenya. It is built on a partnership between Moi Teaching and Referral Hospital and the Moi University School of Medicine in Eldoret, Kenya, and a consortium of North American academic health centers, led by Indiana University. The partners joined forces to create one of Africa's largest, most comprehensive and effective HIV/AIDS management and control systems. AMPATH is a formal partner with the United States government through a $75 million grant from USAID and has continually expanded its successful HIV approach to into a more comprehensive primary health care system. With a tri-partite mission of care, education, and research, AMPATH provides healthcare services to a population of 3.5 million people in western Kenya and focuses on improving the health and wellbeing of the entire population-leaving no one behind.

Vaga Lume Association

Vaga Lume Association is a Brazilian non-profit organization founded in 2001 grounded in the belief that investing in people is the best way to transform a reality. Its mission is to create opportunities for cultural exchange by reading, writing and orality, valuing the empowerment of people and rural communities of the Brazilian Legal Amazon region. Vaga Lume works in 160 rural communities (indigenous, riverside, roadside, rural settlement people or quilombolas - Brazilian with African descent) of 23 municipalities in the Brazilian Legal Amazon region, which encompasses nine federal states (Acre, Amapa, Amazonas, Maranhao, Mato Grosso, Para, Rondonia, Roraima and Tocantins), occupies 59% of the Brazilian territory and has 20 million people (12% of the Brazilian population). Despite the fact that education and culture are basic social rights, protected by the Brazilian Constitution and under human rights international treaties ratified by Brazil, its access and implementation in the Amazon region are very limited. It is one of the poverty zones in Brazil - with a GDP per capita 30% lower than the national value - where 42% of the population survives with less than US$ 5.00 a day. Due to the outstanding impact of Vaga Lume's work in the region, the organization is recognized by many international and national awards such as the Juscelino Kubitschek Award of Merit for Regional Development in Latin America and the Caribbean given by the Inter-American Development Bank (2009); the Millennium Development Goals Award, conferred by the United Nations and the Brazilian government (2005); the Vivaleitura Award, from the Ministry of Culture and the Ministry of Education (2008); and the Chico Mendes Environment Award, given by the Ministry of Environment (2006 and 2008). In 2011, Vaga Lume received its most important recognition: the 4th place at the Intercultural Innovation Award, conferred by United Nations Alliance of Civilizations (UNAOC) and the BMW Group. As an awardee, in 2012, Vaga Lume was welcomed to the World Intercultural Facility for Innovation (WIFI), a network formed by the UNAOC, the BMW Group and the ten 2011 winners. Through this network, the UNAOC and the BMW Group challenged all winners to replicate and scale up their actions to promote intercultural dialogue and offered training, consultancy and institutional support to assist organizations to accomplish such results.

Fiela Funds Cheetah Breeding Project

Our Mission is to raise awareness of the vulnerability of South African species and other endangeredspecies through educational experiences, as well as ethically breeding cheetahs in captivity. At Cheetah Experience, our animals come first, and everything we do is for our animals. Our current focusis to ensure that our Cheetah Breeding project aids in the conservation of the Cheetah, by using the DNA samples taken from our Cheetahs to maintain genetic diversity. We work along-side other ethical and responsible projects to help secure the Cheetahs future survival.From a recent study in 2016, the global population of the cheetah is estimated at 7,100 individuals, and confined to 9% of their historical distributional range. Our Long Term visionis to be able to release some animals into a protected yet self-sustaining natural habitat where animals are still monitored by researchers and medical experts but live free. Understanding their needs, behaviour and instincts plays a key role in saving animals from extinction.

Nourish is a NoN Profit organization registered with the Department of Social Development in South Africa. Started by a young South African woman in 2011, Nourish was created to be a platform that could link conservation needs, issues and ideals with community issues and ideals - and aims to find integrated sustainable solutions to conservation issues such as poverty, low education standards, lack if food security and unemployment. Finding solutions that break the poverty cycle and create healthy resilient communities are ultimately solutions that link these individuals and communities back to their wildlife heritage and the jobs/opportunities created in the wildlife and tourism economy. Especially in the area of Acornhoek, Mpumalanga, where we focus our projects, there is a huge amount of poaching which is a conservation issue, but also a huge amount of poverty, as this is a neglected and under served area/community in South Africa. Solutions aimed at linking and bridging the two are the only way for this area to have a sustainable future. This is where Nourish focuses it's projects; investing into sustainable livelihoods that will benefit communities and conservation, boosting their resilience.

Children's Radio Foundation

The Children's Radio Foundation (CRF) uses radio training and broadcast to create opportunities for youth dialogue, participation, leadership, and active citizenship. Through giving youth the tools and skills to produce radio, young people are mobilized to engage in productive dialogue about the issues they face, and work together to improve their lives and communities. With 74 youth radio projects across six African countries, CRF works with radio stations and CBOs to create local platforms for discussion, information sharing, social engagement, and action. Our reporters take on issues that resonate with youth in their community, including but not limited to children's rights, sexual reproductive health and rights, power dynamics in teenage relationships, gender norms and stereotypes, HIV and AIDS-related issues, climate change, and the environment. Speaking in local languages and in a youth-friendly style, they interview community members, host debates, and bring out local perspectives. Their reporting projects, broadcasts, and outreach activities are geared to generate discussion about issues facing youth.

Public Movement Faith, Hope, Love

For 25 years, the Public Movement "Faith, Hope, Love" has been operating. The organization is created initiative group of psychologists, lawyers, medical workers and volunteers in 1996. The main purpose of the organization is to assist in the development of civil society, economic, political, social reforms in Ukraine, influence on policy-making, protection of rights and freedoms, increase quality of human life, in particular children and youth, by combining the efforts of the community and the state. Since 1997, work has begun to cover preventive measures of new key groups involved in the HIV / AIDS epidemic. The main key groups with which the organization works are IDUs, CSWs, people in the field imprisonment, women victims of domestic violence, any person who has suffered from domestic violence trafficking in human beings, children in crisis, refugees and asylum seekers in Ukraine from Syria, Afghanistan, Sudan, Congo, Iraq, Guinea, and other African countries, internally displaced persons from the zone military action in Ukraine, women who have suffered from various forms of violence.

OneWorld Now

Oneworld now! was founded in Seattle, Washington in 2002. At that time, we launched a pilot program at Ingraham High School in North Seattle with just 12 students. Since then, own expanded to include students from every high school in the Seattle public school district and has served over 1,500 youth, most of whom are low-income and youth of color in the Seattle area. In addition, own expanded its full program to James Campbell high school, the largest public high school in Hawai‘i, in 2010. an innovative model underserved youth have historically had the least access to international learning opportunities. Oneworld now! Is making a significant difference in our students’ lives. Own was a pioneer when it was founded in a post-9/11 climate, yet our mission and vision seem just as critical today as it was back then! Own has been recognized as “one of the nation’s most innovative after school programs” by the jack kent cooke foundation, and the own founder, kristin hayden, was elected as an ashoka fellow for recognizing “innovative solutions and the potential to change patterns across society. ” own’s award-winning program model in seattle and hawai‘i offers a new and integrated approach to developing the next generation of global leaders. oneworld now! Is an award-winning and innovative social venture that exists to develop the next generation of global leaders. Own is committed to providing critical language skills, leadership training, and study abroad opportunities to underserved youth. We are innovative in that we are one of the only programs in the nation that spends at least one year preparing youth by providing language and leadership training to ensure their success abroad focuses on providing access to study abroad opportunities to mostly low-income youth and students of color teaches arabic, chinese and korean, three strategically important languages that are not typically offered in american public schools offer an integrated and holistic program of language, leadership, and study abroad increased access to critical language learning during and after school increased access to study abroad opportunities, especially to underserved youth promoting the “gap year” for all american youth to consider spending a year abroad volunteering and studying languages between high school and college oneworld now! Is developing global leaders by supporting our youth in being successful in all areas of their lives. Beyond the language, leadership, and study abroad program, own supports youth through mentorship, college prep, and networking for scholarships, internships, and career opportunities. Our passionate and committed staff, teachers, and volunteers reflect the oneworld now! Students, who inspire us every day. Together we are all working towards creating a world that acknowledges how we are all connected and all responsible for each other’s well-being. We are…oneworld…and the time to contribute positively is now! . oneworld now! ‘s vision is to increase access to international opportunities, namely critical language studies, leadership development, and study abroad to all american youth. Our award-winning program in seattle, washington demonstrates the successful implementation of our innovative program model of language, leadership, and study abroad for underserved youth, who have historically had the least access to these life-changing opportunities. Her Innovation Cameroon

Her Innovation Cameroon (HIC) is a non-governmental, apolitical and non-profit organisation focused on advocating for the rights of women and girls, fostering their interest in STEM, enhancing STEM education for girls and ensuring they have access to all needed resources. It seeks to engage girls and women from all ten regions of Cameroon in participation and inclusion in the governance process through seminars, conferences and projects. HIC fosters inclusive participation in democratic and governance processes. We envision a just and equitable society where women and youth are empowered to lead and shape their communities. Our values of equity, accountability, grassroots empowerment, pan-African solidarity, and transformative leadership, guide every aspect of our work. HIC is headquartered in Buea, South West Region, and is formally registered to operate nationwide. With focal points in three regions and ambitions for expansion, we are deeply embedded in local communities and attuned to the lived realities of marginalized populations. HIC works to enhance social justice and social change through working collaboratively with young women and men, as well as local communities and stakeholders. HIC strives to improve collaboration between beneficiaries and policymakers to address the community's problems.
