Humana People to People Congo ASBL's mission is to implement high-quality community projects in order to equip community members with the knowledge, skills, and tools they need to improve their well-being. The vision is to envision a society in which communities thrive and improve their quality of life. To achieve its vision and mission, HPP-Congo works with communities in the Democratic Republic of Congo to promote their socioeconomic well-being through its programs. HPP-Congo implements projects in the areas of agriculture and the environment (supporting farmers in increasing production while protecting the environment), health (promoting health through education and supporting the prevention of diseases such as HIV/AIDS, malaria, tuberculosis, sexual and reproductive health, family planning, waterborne and fecal diseases, sanitation, and access to drinking water); community development (helping communities to organize themselves to improve living conditions, advancing justice and creating opportunities not only for survival but also for developing their full potential, promoting gender equality, women's rights and the protection of children, including OVCs) and education (training teachers to improve the quality of education).

Karuna Deutschland is committed towards ending caste-based discrimination, dedicating efforts for poverty-alleviation, and ensuring equality in India and Nepal. Our mission is to serve individuals and families of the poorest communities in India and Nepal. The women and children as well as people from lower cast backgrounds come under the most vulnerable population in India and Nepal. The former "untouchable" castes are still suffering from social exclusion and violence and also form the largest chunk of 'ultra-poor' in these countries. It is extremely difficult for them to access healthcare, education, housing and a dignified livelihood. Dalit women and girls particularly are subjected to gender-based violence and exclusion. Although caste-based discrimination has no legal premises, the stigma attached to the lower castes in India and Nepal hinder their dignified participation in all spheres of life. They are pushed further behind by a variety of forces such as existing discrimination, inequality, poverty, illiteracy etc. Therefore, we endeavour to remove the root causes of discrimination, exclusion and poverty. We seek to run our projects and activities based on the principle of inclusion, justice, diversity and equality in order to drive a positive as well as holistic change at the community level. The foundation of our work lies in engendering a dignified life for the people; helping them build a better future for themselves as well as empowering them to take their destiny into their own hands. To elicit lasting solutions to the problems we intend to address, our approach is based upon self-help, self-determination and self-reliance at the community level. The principle of 'leaving no one behind' as mentioned in the Sustainable development goals is enshrined in our core values. Changes often happen at the local level. Creative and innovative solutions are pertinent to reach our goals. Our activities are thus built upon a wealth of local skills and knowledge. We seek to understand the vulnerabilities, strengths and needs of our target groups. Evidence based approach rooted in in-depth analysis, research of ground needs and realities is extremely important for us to promote accountability and responsibility. The four pillars of Karuna Deutschland's work are made of Education, Health, Dignified Livelihoods and Gender Equality. Odibu Foundation mission seeks to provide mobile healthcare to address the problem of poor health access in Nigeria at no cost to patients. We seek to provide care for transmissible diseases such as HIV, as well as conditions like diabetes and hypertension. We are also concerned with providing specialized care for family planning. This would include access to free birth control, as well as pre-natal and post-natal care and care for infants. The social problem to be addressed: The communities in Northern Cross River State, due to lack of knowledge, information and orientation in health and hygiene the grass root level villagers cannot understand the need of immunization, importance of growth monitoring, technique of low cost nutritious food preparation, different methods of birth control, spacing between two children, importance using sanitary or pit type latrine, preparation of safe drinking water, maintenance of personal hygiene and disposal of waste products from the home and practices to maintain good health. In fact sound health deteriorates here with the increase of superstition and wrong method of treatment. So the incidence of maternal mortality, child mortality, morbidity, dehydration and malnutrition rate and other infectious diseases are quite high as per our community diagnosis. The existing Dai are not qualified so they cannot diagnosis in the case of high-risk pregnancies properly. The quacks are not trained. They depend on limited indigenous knowledge. The diversity and multiplicity of the problem can be decreased with some comprehensive program in this matter. At the time of feeling pain, they have to take to distant primary health center but on the way the pregnant women face great problem. Sometime the pregnant women are compelled to give birth their children under the open sky. So most of the patients have to go to town but some of them die in the street. Health care in Nigeria is not accessible, affordable, or high+quality as the residents of Nigeria deserve. Nigeria has one of the highest infant and maternal mortality rates in the world.16% of children die before their fifth birthday from complete preventable diseases like malaria and diarrhea. When treatment is many miles away, it is expensive to get to it, and many Nigerians simply cannot afford to get to a hospital or do not have transportation. Our foundation is dedicated to relieving the suffering and uncertainty of Nigeria children and underprivileged people. These individuals become victim to the shackle of poverty where the simplest necessities of life such as food, healthcare, shelter, clean water, sanitation and hygiene are often not within their reach.

United for Nature and Human (UNH) is a nonprofit organization committed to creating meaningful change for both people and the planet. Our mission is to provide targeted support to human communities and the natural environment by addressing their distinct needs through separate but equally impactful initiatives. We believe that both human development and environmental conservation deserve focused attention and tailored solutions. On the human development front, UNH works to uplift privileged and underprivileged communities by promoting access to mental health education, Access to education in remote areas & Education reform programs in cities, Women empowerment, address issues such as caste and social justice, quality education, basic healthcare, skill development, and livelihood opportunities. We support ordinary and marginalized populations, men, women, children, and rural communities and all people of Nepal through programs that improve health awareness, sanitation, nutrition and free them from social stigma. By offering vocational training and education resources, we help individuals become self-reliant and empowered to shape better futures for themselves and their families. In parallel, UNH is deeply committed to environmental protection. Our organization runs various campaigns and projects that focus on conserving biodiversity, restoring degraded land, promoting afforestation, and spreading environmental awareness. We work with local communities to implement sustainable practices in agriculture, waste management, and water conservation (We aim through our project to make water available in many parts of Nepal where it is difficult to find water in some places and have to travel 2 hours to get it). These efforts aim to protect natural ecosystems, combat climate change, and promote environmental responsibility among all age groups. Rather than blending the two focus areas, UNH recognizes that human and environmental challenges often require different approaches, resources, and strategies. We design separate programs that allow us to address each area with the specificity and dedication it demands. This ensures our interventions are more effective, measurable, and responsive to the unique challenges faced by people and nature individually. At Donate4Refugees our vision is for every displaced person in Europe to be welcomed with humanity and respect in Europe and given the helping hand they need to find safety, peace and happiness in their new forever home. We work collaboratively to help ensure every displaced man, women and child asking for Europe's help gets the support they need to start their new life with dignity. That is, to have a place to live, enough food to eat, clothes to wear, warmth, lighting and hygiene. Along with access to essential information and education. We primarily do this by raising money that helps fund inspiring humanitarian projects delivered on-the-ground by our grassroots volunteer partners. We work together keeping people and hope alive. Life for refugees in Europe's hot spots in 2020 is utterly miserable. The hope in people's eyes is disappearing, the smiles are fading... Now that you know, will you help? Within this devastating environment our volunteers are too often providing the only lifeline to refugees. Donate4Refugees uniquely brings together donations from individuals, businesses and trusts to give grants and emergency funding to our trusted grassroots partners on-the-ground. Those volunteers supporting refugee communities on Europe's front-lines. Together we're filling shamefully big gaps in aid and humanity and, without the tireless dedication of our volunteers, refugee men, women and children would be struggling to even survive. We're acting now providing very real help, human-to-human, to many of the world's most vulnerable people. We only wish we didn't have to.

LOKA HITHAM MAMA KARANEEYAM (little for self, everything else for society) Hindu Seva Pratishthana (HSP) is committed to the upliftment of the under-served and the people with special needs without any discrimination on the basis of caste, creed or religion. Through service HSP aims to bring about a transformation in the society where people and communities will be self-reliant. The instruments of this change are Sevavratis - young men and women volunteers - many of whom dedicate their lives fully to the noble cause of serving the society in this area. Sevavratis, in the course of their training at HSP, realize, imbibe qualities like patriotism, perseverance and humility, and acquire the skills in working areas like Rural Development, Eradication of untouchability, Drive against alcoholism, Literacy, Child Education, Common Health Education, Individual and Family Counselling, Propagating Yoga and Spoken Samskruta language, Rehabilitation of the Mentally Retarded and Physically handicapped and Street Children, and Environmental protection. Since its inception in 1980, HSP has been constantly expanding its activities, covering more people in towns and villages, and ensuring the co-operation and participation of local people so that the services are effective and benefits are long lasting.

World Educare Network (WENET) is Not-for-profit Non-governmental Organization engaged with the underlying communities in Eastern & Northern Uganda. WENET is the Transformation Agency; Creating Empowered Communities that spontaneously participate in Education, practice basic Health, embraces Technology & Sports; sensitive to Equality, Environment & Climate! Involved across Six rural Districts of Uganda since 2020, WENET is enhancing the sustainability of Education Quality by promoting ICT, multifunction Skills including Sports as empowerment tools; collaborating towards integrated community Health & Nutrition; inputs to Water, Sanitation & Hygiene; advocating for Environmental Health & Climate Action; Agriculture & rural Livelihood; community driven Empowerment of Child, Youth & Woman, And; Research activities for informed decision making! The Sibiu Community Foundation (SCF) is committed to fostering an inclusive, equitable, and resilient society in Romania, guided by principles of democracy, human rights, and ethical governance. Operating in a country still grappling with the legacies of its communist past-marked by economic disparity, corruption, societal discrimination, and gender inequalities-SCF strives to bridge these gaps through strategic, community-driven initiatives. Its core mission is to empower vulnerable populations-including women and girls, Roma, displaced persons, migrants, and marginalized groups-by promoting social justice, economic independence, education, leadership, and civic participation. As a women-led organization with an all-female board and executive team, SCF exemplifies its commitment to gender equality, ensuring that women's voices influence community initiatives and policymaking. The foundation believes that sustainable social progress comes from inclusive leadership, authentic public participation, and collaborative partnerships with public authorities, the private sector, and civil society. Building trust and transparency remains central to its approach, enabling it to develop scalable programs that produce tangible, lasting impact. SCF's operational excellence was demonstrated through its rapid and effective response during crises. During the COVID-19 pandemic, the foundation played a pivotal role in fundraising and managing procurement activities to support Romanian hospitals, strengthening health systems at a critical time. Its comprehensive approach extended beyond medical supplies to include social outreach, aid distribution, and awareness campaigns, helping vulnerable communities withstand the social and economic shocks of the pandemic. In 2022, SCF's dedication to humanitarian response was further exemplified through its leadership during the Ukrainian refugee emergency. Establishing a dedicated operational team, the foundation coordinated logistics, provided psychosocial support, and facilitated integration programs for a rapidly growing Ukrainian community-numbering approximately 8,000 people-within Sibiu County. Their initiatives included UN-funded projects focused on language learning, vocational training, cultural exchange, and mental health, promoting social cohesion and empowering displaced persons to rebuild their lives. This work garnered international recognition when the team was awarded the European Economic and Social Committee Civil Society Prize in 2022. In 2024, recognizing the importance of strategic consolidation and long-term impact, SCF integrated its emergency response team into its broader organizational framework. This integration created one of Romania's largest and most dynamic community foundation teams, capable of addressing a wide spectrum of community needs across social development, civic engagement, and humanitarian aid. As a United Nations Refugee Response Partner, the foundation commits to coordinated, sustainable interventions that foster diversity, inclusion, and social cohesion. Today, SCF actively promotes community engagement through local initiatives, innovative projects, and advocacy efforts that aim to promote behavioral change, enhance educational and economic opportunities, and support local leadership. Its programs are designed to be scalable and replicable, ensuring that best practices can be adopted across different regions and communities. The foundation's overarching goal is to foster social resilience, reduce inequalities, and build a society where everyone-regardless of background-has the opportunity to thrive and contribute to Romania's democratic, inclusive future. SCF envisions a Romania in which societal barriers are replaced by bridges of understanding, cooperation, and mutual respect. It is dedicated to fostering partnerships that uphold the rule of law, promote ethical governance, and prioritize human dignity. To promote, encourage and project these principles in all its dimensions, within and beyond South Africa's borders. Without derogating from the generality of the aforegoing the activities of the Foundation , inter alia , include: Disaster management and humanitarian aid delivery in crises whether natural or man-made including floods, cyclones, hurricanes, earthquakes , tornado, accidents and war; Establishment of medical facilities , clinics and hospitals; Delivery of medicines and medical equipment; Establishment of feeding schemes, food parcel delivery and poverty relief programmes including assistance with burial and funeral arrangements, provision of new and used clothing, blankets and baby milk powder; Provision of boreholes, waterwells and water purification tablets; Provision of free telephonic and face-face counselling services in matters of depression, drug abuse, relationship problems, HIV/AIDS, marital discord, parenting, learning difficulties, teenage problems, child abuse, domestic violence, maintenance grants, etc. ; Establishment of Drug Rehab Centres and Havens for the abused; women and children in particular; Establishment of orphanages and old age homes; Provision of wheelchairs, hearing aids, braille machines and any such equipment and aids to assist physically and mentally challenged individuals; Provision of Life Skills training; empowerment counselling and skills in counselling; Establishment of skills development programmes, entrepreneul skills and job creation projects; Promoting South Africa as a means to encourage tourism, investment and further job creation initiatives; Provision of agricultural implements and Farmer's Packs (seeds, fertiliser , LAN, etc.) to promote food security and self sustainability; Establishment of educational institutions whether religious or secular; Provision of bursaries, textbooks, stationery, computers, technology workshops and other educational support; Establishment of places of worship including a tekke (meeting place for dervishes or disciples); Promotion of peace, tolerance, understanding, love, mercy and inter-faith dialopue between people, communities, cultures and religions; Promotion of faith, spirituality and religious awareness ; Establishment of community radio, television and media to assist with all the above principles; Support of artists who can promote all the above principles through song , writings, etc.

Washington state ranks among the top states in the nation in the concentration of STEM jobs, and opportunities are increasing rapidly. By 2030, 70% of high-demand, family-sustaining wage jobs available in our state will require postsecondary degree credentials; 67% of those will require postsecondary STEM credentials. But Washington students are not equitably or adequately prepared to take advantage of these opportunities. Today, only 40% of all students are on track to attain postsecondary credential. Worse yet, students of color, rural students, girls and young women, and students living in poverty still lack access to these pathways—they face disparities early on and fall further behind as they move through the education system. In our state STEM is at the forefront of discovery, on the frontlines of creative 21st century problem-solving, and serves as one of the largest pathways to family-sustaining wage careers and long-term economic security. STEM pathways have promise like few others in Washington and it is imperative that Black, Brown, and indigenous students, rural and low-income students, and girls have access. Washington STEM is working to ensure that all students have equal opportunity to benefit from the transformational possibilities that STEM has to offer.

The Advocacy Project - A Voice for the Voiceless The Advocacy Project (AP) helps marginalized communities around the world take action against the root causes of their disempowerment in a way that benefits society as a whole and produces social change. To do this, we partner with community-based advocates who represent these communities and share their problems. Our support for partners is innovative and effective. First, we deploy Peace Fellows (experienced graduate students) to help partners tell their story, launch campaigns, and strengthen their organization: we have deployed 274 Peace Fellows since 2003, and in the process given our Fellows a unique experience. Second, we help partners to raise funds and manage their campaigns: we have raised over $2.5 million for partners, and are currently seeking funds through Global Giving for exciting projects in Nepal, Vietnam and Uganda. Third, we promote the work of partners internationally, using new methods of story-telling such as advocacy quilting: over 300 women have produced embroidered panels for our quilts, which have been shown throughout North America and Europe.
