Change for Children partners with communities in Latin America and Africa who are struggling against poverty and injustice to improve access to basic needs, healthcare and education. Our development projects, their cost and priority, are determined by our Southern partners according to the current needs of their communities. Change for Children is about social change. In Canada, our Global Education program engages the public in a process of awareness raising, analysis and action on issues of global justice.

We work with children who have their rights violated (mistreat, malnourishment, abuse, neglect, among others) and with children who are exposed to situations of high social and psychological risks. The Inter-Cultural Association of Greater Victoria (ICA) helps individuals and organizations to connect across cultures. We provide information, support and tools to help immigrants reach their goals. By engaging people through networks, education and arts programming we create a welcoming community. ICA offers services for newcomers, including settlement and integration counseling, translation and interpretation, English classes, mentoring, volunteer matching and peer support. We also provide outreach and education in the community through arts programming, as well as workshops on anti-racism, multiculturalism, diversity awareness, immigration and human rights.

CLA-ACE provides opportunities for the Canadian legal community to become more actively involved in understanding and providing solutions to pressing good governance, rule of law and human rights issues. CLA-ACE pursues its mission by: (1) Helping Canadian law students become the next generation of Canadian citizens and leaders committed to using their legal skills to improve the lives of others; (2) Offering concrete, hands-on domestic and international activities and projects for Canadian lawyers and law students; (3) Raising awareness among the Canadian public about challenging international legal issues.

The mission of the Rainforest Foundation is to support indigenous and traditional peoples of the world's rainforests in their efforts to protect their environment and fulfill their rights.
