Since 1970, the Conservation Foundation has protected these places of natural beauty, environmental value and spiritual replenishment right here at home in the Rideau Valley of Eastern Ontario.

San Francisco Bay Area Physicians for Social Responsibility works to protect human life from the gravest threats to health and survival. We educate the public and policy makers on issues regarding environmental health and sustainability, national and global security, nuclear disarmament, social justice, and violence prevention.

Wave Hill is a 28-acre public garden and cultural center in the Bronx overlooking the Hudson River and Palisades. Its mission is to celebrate the artistry and legacy of its gardens and landscapes, to preserve its magnificent views, and to explore human connections to the natural world through programs in horticulture, education and the arts.

AASEE is dedicated to advancing science and engineering education at the K-12 level. We work directly with students in the classroom. AASEE designs curriculum-based and fun hands-on activities through collaborative research, where we try to ensure a maximum engagement of teachers and parents along with the students. We provide training and resources to pre-university educators. We also create opportunities for the students to learn directly from experts and leaders in the respective fields. AASEE gives priority to diverse populations, namely Canada’s first nations peoples, girls, and those in financial need, as well as rural populations. We are mandated to work across the globe, and are implementing an ambitious plan. At AASEE we target tomorrow´s leaders in science and engineering who will be working with a true passion. We believe advancing science and engineering education is the right way to go, and the right thing to do.

The Worldwatch Institute is an independent research organization recognized by opinion leaders around the world for its accessible, fact-based analysis of critical global issues. Its mission is to generate and promote insights and ideas that empower decision makers to build an ecologically sustainable society that meets human needs. Worldwatch has catalyzed effective environmental decision making since 1974. The Institute's interdisciplinary research is based on the best available science and focuses on the challenges that climate change, resource degradation, and population growth pose for meeting human needs in the 21st century. Worldwatch seeks innovative solutions to intractable problems-emphasizing a blend of government leadership, private sector enterprise, and citizen action that can make a sustainable future a reality.

Our mission is to develop, manage and support projects focused on community work, generate awareness, respect and education for the proper use of resources for the benefit of our environment and environment. We promote sustainable human development as a fundamental intangible resource of our society, linking people, communities and institutions to the sustainable intervention of vulnerable contexts. Our Ludotecas project is a model of community social intervention whose challenge is to return the right to play and use of public spaces in a safe and adequate way to children who live in vulnerable contexts. Through a community program we promote the use of public space generating transformations that strengthen the social fabric of the community, improve the child's relationship with their socio-territorial environment and stimulate children's cognitive development. We work directly with the community and specifically with children between 3 and 12 years old looking to promote healthy play and child care through the community construction of spaces for the specific use of children, where we develop play workshops that promote the development of social, motor, cognitive, emotional and linguistic skills.

Our vision is to help build a just society and our mission to secure rights, health and development for marginalized people. We work with the most disadvantaged people, giving priority to women and children - people living with HIV, tuberculosis and leprosy; Dalits (literally 'broken people' - the 'untouchables' of India) and the most discriminated among them; Tribals (indigenous people), women in prostitution, transgendered people, sexual minorities (LGBT), children at risk and people with disability. Our strategy is to mainstream gender, child rights, disability and the needs of the most disadvantaged people of the area. We provide direct services to fill gaps in existing facilities where necessary. But the main strategy is to encourage and support community volunteers and community based organizations to advocate for their rights and entitlements.
