Our mission is to develop new ideas and implement new solutions to address the short and long-term threats to elephant survival, providing them a new future free of cruelty and death at the hands of humans. Our unique approach of developing communities that will end poaching and illegal trafficking, implementing humane economies within host countries and by creating non-invasive research facilities, we will bring transformational change to this epic struggle while bettering the lives of the indigenous population and the host government. The Elephant Project will create self-sustaining and self-funding sanctuaries and communities reducing the need to constantly fundraise for the project. This project is designed to be a model that can be used all over the world to protect endangered species, better the economies of the host country, provide skills training, jobs, healthcare and educational opportunities for the indigenous population.

NCS' mission is to educate senior decision-makers in business, government and civil society about the principles of sustainability. NCS shows how to restore and further enhance the natural and human capital while increasing prosperity and quality of life. In partnership with leading thinkers and groups, NCS creates innovative, practical tools and implementation strategies for companies, communities and countries.

We are a privately-owned voluntary foundation seeking to promote the development of low-income areas in the Republic of Guatemala, especially for those people who live in the rural areas of the highlands, by innovative projects avoiding patriarchy to guaranteea better living standard. Vision Statement St. Margaret’s Bay Stewardship Association seeks a democratic method of documenting and honouring common community values in the St. Margaret's Bay area as well as achieving effective stewardship of that which we all hold dear, including our waters and woodlands, our unique history and heritage, the rights of our residents and communities, and the effective management of change with respect to sustainability, vitality, prosperity and self-reliance of the region.

Our vision is to realize a future where all inhabitants of the Costa Rican coasts, human and sea turtle alike, can live together in balance; where healthy populations of sea turtles fulfill their ecological roles and economic potential; and critical natural habitats are sustainably managed. Ocean Conservation Research is focused on understanding the scope of, and exploring solutions to the growing problem of human generated noise pollution and its impact on marine animals.We engage in marine biological and technological research based on conservation priorities. We use the products of this research to inform the policies and practice of the public, industry, and lawmakers so that we may all become stewards of the sea.

Mission. To protect and preserve the Hitchcock Woods in a natural and ecologically healthy state, maintain and manage historic and traditional equestrian and pedestrian uses, and foster education and research on the history and resources of the Woods. Vision. To maintain and restore the ecological integrity of the Hitchcock Woods and to serve as a model for sustainable urban forestry, balancing stewardship of forestland natural resources with compatible human uses.

The Children's Radio Foundation (CRF) uses radio training and broadcast to create opportunities for youth dialogue, participation, leadership, and active citizenship. Through giving youth the tools and skills to produce radio, young people are mobilized to engage in productive dialogue about the issues they face, and work together to improve their lives and communities. With 74 youth radio projects across six African countries, CRF works with radio stations and CBOs to create local platforms for discussion, information sharing, social engagement, and action. Our reporters take on issues that resonate with youth in their community, including but not limited to children's rights, sexual reproductive health and rights, power dynamics in teenage relationships, gender norms and stereotypes, HIV and AIDS-related issues, climate change, and the environment. Speaking in local languages and in a youth-friendly style, they interview community members, host debates, and bring out local perspectives. Their reporting projects, broadcasts, and outreach activities are geared to generate discussion about issues facing youth.

The East Hants Community Learning Association (EHCLA) believes in a stronger, connected community and through individualized programming we are opening the doors to education and transportation, helping create a more prosperous, and proud community. With a hands on learning approach, and the availability of transportation, we are empowering individuals to live with a sense of freedom and confidence. Ecosource is all about changing the world, right in our own backyard! We are leaders in grassroots environmental education in Peel Region and across Ontario. Our staff team works in schools and throughout the community, delivering interactive learning experiences that inspire youth and adults to take responsible personal environmental actions that make a huge difference to the health of the planet. We are proud to work with over 40 000 youth and adult community members annually!

Wildlife Response, Inc. (WRI) is dedicated to the preservation of wildlife through rehabilitation and education. One of the most universal challenges today in the battle to save wild things and wild places is how to bond people to the physical world in a powerful enough way to give them the motivation to want to protect and preserve it. It is especially important in our growing suburban and urban communities to increase significant associations connecting people and nature, especially where natural environments and natural experiences are less and less common. On a local level, the steady arrival of new residents to the Hampton Roads area is having a overwhelming impact on our wildlife and natural environment. As we accommodate this progression, it is essential that people who now call the Hampton Roads area home understand the sensitive balance of human and non-human populations, the affect we have on the natural environment, and the best ways in which we can coexist.

The Pet Therapy Society of Northern Alberta was created to provide the benefits of the human-animal bond that is well documented in medical, psychological and social literature. At all stages throughout our lives animal companionship can stimulate sensitivity and learning. In adolescents, involvement in animal assisted activities (AAA) can add a perspective not usually available in many non-pet home or classroom situations. Interaction with companion animals can involve values, morals, modes of behaviour, attitudes and self-examination as well as skills. While the focus is on the human-animal relationship, other aspects including environmental issues, personal health and safety and cooperative learning may also be associated. Members volunteer their personal time along with their pets, providing animal-assisted therapy and animal-assisted activity programs in hospitals, nursing homes, mental health and corrections programs to name a few.
