PRKN’s mission is to protect the right to clean water for all communities and all those who live in and rely upon the Potomac and Shenandoah watersheds by stopping pollution, making drinking water safe, protecting healthy river habitats, and enhancing use and enjoyment for all.

Since 1997 the support of Canadian Whale Institute (CWI) has been primarily directed towards efforts to save the highly endangered North Atlantic right whale. These include reducing right whale mortality from ship-strikes, entanglement in fishing gear and raising public awareness. CWI Current Initiatives ‘Helping to save one species from the brink of extinction can very well help humankind preserve our planet’ Stewardship and Conservation Despite international protection from whaling since 1935 the North Atlantic right whale is hovering on the brink of extinction: about 350 remain. CWI supports many research projects and stewardship measures taking place throughout the Canadian range of the species. Researchers who receive CWI support have contributed to the development of the Canadian recovery plan and the relocation of the Bay of Fundy shipping lanes; thereby helping to reduce the number of whales dying due to ship-strikes. The Conservancy works to restore and maintain Walker Lake by increasing Walker River flows and conserving watershed and riparian lands; it acquires water rights and manages land stewardship, native plant restoration, and public access to protect agricultural, environmental, and recreational values in the Walker Basin.

Santa Barbara Channelkeeper is dedicated to protecting and restoring the Santa Barbara Channel and its watersheds. Through science-based advocacy, education, field work and enforcement, Channelkeeper defends our community's right to clean water and informs, inspires and empowers people to speak and act for our waterways.

Through the creation of people-to-people partnerships, we are especially dedicated to protecting human rights, supporting economic and social development, and building peace.

Sogorea Te’ Land Trust is an urban Indigenous women-led land trust based in the San Francisco Bay Area that facilitates the return of Indigenous land to Indigenous people.

Charity Centre for Children and Youth Development exists to supporting HIV/AIDS education, Persons living with disabilities, orphans and vulnerable children, youth and women in Solwezi district of Zambia by providing them with, educational support (provision of school requisites and literacy materials), health and life skills and vocational Training. These enables disadvantaged members of our society live life of independence and contribute to the national economy. Poverty alleviation for Orphans and Vulnerable Children remains the key priority action area for Ainembabazi as an organization. Poverty however is more than just increasing income for community members. Fundamentally poverty is about lack of choice – when it comes to education, food, health and other basic human needs and rights. This lack of choice in basic human rights contributes to a lack of hope for the future. It leaves people in basic survival mode and in a vicious cycle of poverty. The programming of Ainembabazi is thus focused on the three critical priority areas of income generation, health and education as the fundamental holistic components to promoting healthy individuals and communities with a choice for their future. Ainembabazi is about creating and supporting those choices and opportunities.
