The American River Natural History Association (ARNHA) and the Effie Yeaw Nature Center are dedicated to providing educational and interpretive programs and information about the natural environment, principally in the American River Parkway.

To protect and enhance the wildlife habitat, fishery, and recreational resources of the American River Parkway. Our volunteer, non-profit group of members and Board of Directors work to ensure that the American River Parkway will survive and prosper for the benefit of future generations.

Founded in 2001, ACORE is a 501 (c)(3) national non-profit organization that unites finance, policy and technology to accelerate the transition to a renewable energy economy. We are the focal point for collaborative advocacy across the renewable energy sector, supported by hundreds of members spanning renewable energy technologies and constituencies, including developers, manufacturers, top financial institutions, major corporate renewable energy buyers, grid technology providers, utilities, professional service firms, colleges & universities, government agencies and allied non-profit groups.

The transformation of the built environment, using the tools developed by the Passive House Institute, in a critical effort to combat global warming. We provide training, conferences, and other events to both engage and educate design and building professionals, policymakers, and the general public. We support the success and vitality of the Passive House community.

The American Rose Society exists to promote the culture and appreciation of the rose, through education and research, to members, to local rose societies and their members, and to the public.We have almost 8000 members from across America and several foreign countries.

Our vision is to realize a future where all inhabitants of the Costa Rican coasts, human and sea turtle alike, can live together in balance; where healthy populations of sea turtles fulfill their ecological roles and economic potential; and critical natural habitats are sustainably managed. To promote and support the work of Durrell Wildlife Conservation Trust in its mission to save species from extinction by using the appropriate methods of species recovery, including management of captive and wild animals and their habitats, research in conservation biology, professional training of conservation practitioners, community conservation and education of the general public.
