Great Old Broads for Wilderness is a national organization that engages and ignites the activism of elders to preserve and protect wilderness and wild lands. Conceived by older women who love wilderness, Broads gives voice to the millions of older Americans who want to protect their public lands as wilderness for this and future generations. In furtherance of its charitable and educational purposes, but not in limitation thereof, the Organization's mission shall be:• To expose the public to Bedrock Gardens in Lee, New Hampshire, an example of creative, revitalizing, and educational land-use in developing suburbia;• To create educational programs for adults, children, and families in traditional ornamental gardening, horticulture, ecology, art in the garden and land use;• To provide the local and surrounding communities a green space sanctuary, outdoor opportunities, educational activities and a venue for visual and performing arts in the developing commercial corridor between Lee and Epping NH;• To provide support to schools, horticulturists, landscape architects and designers, artists and organizations concerned about these issues as allowed by law;• To raise funds to further these activities.
