The Center for Coastal Studies conducts scientific research with emphasis on marine mammals of the western North Atlantic and on the coastal and marine habitats and resources of the Gulf of Maine. We promote stewardship of coastal and marine ecosystems and conduct educational activities that encourage responsible use and conservation. We collaborate with other institutions and individuals whenever possible to advance our mission.

Since 1958, we’ve been uniting and mobilizing people across Montana, creating and growing a conservation movement around a shared love of wild public lands and waters. We work at the local level, building trust, fostering collaboration, and forging agreements for protecting the wild, enhancing public land access, and helping communities thrive. Our work has resulted in 16 wilderness areas, the Upper Missouri River Breaks National Monument, and other victories that have protected millions of acres from irresponsible development and degradation.

International Rivers protects rivers and defends the rights of communities that depend on them. We work to stop destructive dams and promote water and energy solutions for a just and sustainable world.

GrowNYC (formerly Council on the Environment of NYC) is a hands-on non-profit which improves New York City’s quality of life through environmental programs that transform communities block by block and empower all New Yorkers to secure a clean and healthy environment for future generations.

Friends of the River protects and restores California Rivers. We envision a climate resilient water future with healthy rivers, equal access to safe and affordable drinking water, and a thriving sustainable economy for all Californians.

Sierra Leone Foundation for New Democracy works in partnership with communities to build the foundation for citizens of all ages to deliberate and enact new, non-adversarial alternatives that nurture democratic relationships and decision-making within and among individuals, families, institutions, and the environment.

Green chicago restaurant coalition is a 501(c)(3) charitable organization dedicated to protecting the environment and conserving natural resources by helping chicago’s foodservice industry, and its supporters, reduce their collective environmental footprint.

Great Old Broads for Wilderness is a national organization that engages and ignites the activism of elders to preserve and protect wilderness and wild lands. Conceived by older women who love wilderness, Broads gives voice to the millions of older Americans who want to protect their public lands as wilderness for this and future generations. We bring knowledge, commitment, and humor to the movement to protect our last wild places on earth.
