The mission of the Foundation is guided by the aspirations of local communities; JLOF takes a holistic and problem-oriented approach and work in partnership with the local community, government, business sector, academia and other organisations or individuals that share common interest in finding and delivering result-oriented and lasting solutions to problems facing the community. The vision of the Foundation is to be a force and a partner of choice, dedicated to facilitating the creation of sustainably developed, resilient and socio-economically empowered communities which optimize their potentials and people live in dignity, security and harmony across boundaries of ethnicity, social stratification and generations.

Using education, entrepreneurship and local leadership to empower families in Uganda

Katalemwa Cheshire Home for Rehabilitation Services is a disability focused NGO that provides rehabilitation services to children and young persons with disabilities. We provide quality medical care, social economic support and fabrication of orthopedic appliances. We do this through a network of partner organizations, Center and Community Based Inclusive Development (CBID), Rights Based Programming (RBP) and working with families, communities, civil society, development partners and Government.

The Youth Sport Trust is an independent charity devoted to building a brighter future for young people. We are passionate about helping all young people achieve their full potential by delivering high quality physical education (PE) and sport opportunities. Through 20 years of experience, we have developed a unique way of maximising the power of sport to grow young people, schools and communities. We believe in the power of sport to change young people's lives for the better. Our programmes focus on using sport as a vehicle to improve young people's: Wellbeing: Our work develops children's fundamental movement skills, equipping them with the confidence, competence and enjoyment of sport needed for a lifetime of activity, as well as good physical and emotional health. Leadership: Our work supports the personal development of young people and their progress at school, as well as preparing them for the challenges of life ahead. We support young people to develop a range of positive character qualities, such as: creativity, aspiration, resilience and empathy. Achievement: PE and sport delivered well is proven to impact positively on attainment and academic achievement. It can engage young people in learning and support the development of skills needed for success in the classroom, including: communication, teamwork and self-management.

To nurture the physical and emotional development of children in Uganda who are infected with or affected by HIV, by providing access to healthcare and education

Empowering OVC especially those affected and infected by HIV/aids and their families out of social marginalization, isolation and discrimination through income generating initiatives and formal education with basic technical/vocational skills.

To end preventable deaths in the most underserved communities. To save pregnant women, mothers and newborns from deaths caused by poverty, lack of hygiene, access to proper healthcare or education in developing countries.

The mission of ARTS is to empower communities without access to dental professionals to achieve and maintain a higher level of oral health by providing hygiene education, direct treatment, and dental supplies. Now, with nine trips, 3,000 patients, and 30 educated communities under its belt, ARTS has set its sights on increasing the impact of its work by increasing the budget, the number of volunteers, and the frequency of trips. ARTS recently set a vision for a world in which all people have reliable access to the treatment, knowledge, and supplies required to maintain dental health.
