THE HOME SEEKS TO PROVIDE AN ENVIRONMENT OF LOVE, SECURITY, AND ACCEPTANCE WHERE A CHILD CAN GROW AND DEVELOP AS AN INDIVIDUAL.

Every 14 seconds, a child is orphaned by AIDS in sub-Saharan Africa. Nyumbani serves these abandoned children in Kenya, providing a loving home, medical services and community-based care in the slum communities of Nairobi. Nyumbani Village is a self-sustaining community to serve orphans and elders who have been left behind by the "lost generation" of the AIDS pandemic.

We meet kids and families at the most challenging times of their lives and help them overcome some of life's most difficult circumstances – abuse and neglect, complex emotional and behavioral issues, and family crises. We offer to help assist during these hard times through residential treatment services, individual and family therapy, and community based services.

Our hospital is a non-profit private institution that offers health services with emphasis on highly-complex patient care. The World Health and Education Network (WHEN) is dedicated to helping improve education and healthcare throughout the world. WHEN started to raise funds for the charity Calcutta Rescue in Kolkata, India, but it has since expanded its support for a number of non-profit organizations. Their mission can be summed up in one question: WHEN will everyone have access to high-quality education and healthcare?
