The mission of the Center Helping Obesity In Children End Successfully, Inc. (C.H.O.I.C.E.S.) is to promote healthy lifestyle change for the clinically diagnosed and at-risk children of obesity. Our vision is to move disadvantaged children and families from the margins to the center of the healthy eating and living movement by promoting food as fun and as medicine. We provide nutrition education, cooking classes, summer camps and health workshops. Formed in year 2002, we serve Metropolitan Atlanta, Georgia and are committed to improving the lives children everywhere via our free virtual programming. As a result, we have reached more than 120,000 children and adults to date.

The Foundation for the Children of the Californias is a tri-national collaboration with Canada, the United States, and Mexico, endeavoring to improve the health and nutrition for the children of the mega-region of San Diego and Baja California through the operation of Hospital Infantil de las Californias, a model pediatric specialty medical and education complex, located one half mile into Baja California, Mexico

Better Health Initiative for Women and Children's mission is to equip communities with the knowledge and support to improve the health and well-being of women and children. The vision is to reduce morbidity and mortality for women and children in low-income communities.

Our mission at the Dion Children Foundation for Rare Disease is to increase awareness of rare and ultra-rare genetic diseases such as Limb-Girdle Muscular Dystrophy, that affect children with the intention of allocating funds for research and development of potential treatments and cures of these devastating diseases. Our belief at Dion Children Fund is that no child should be left behind. Our children matter, and so do the lives of so many other children affected by rare genetic neuromuscular diseases.

The Northern BC Children and Families Hearing Society is a non-profit organization that was founded over 30 years ago to support families of deaf and hard of hearing children and reaches out to communities across Northern British Columbia. Our status as a division of the National Federation of the Blind, the largest and most influential organization of blind people in the world, provides many benefits. Our members are well informed about the technological, legislative, and societal issues that affect blind people. We also enjoy the resources, support, and expertise of 50,000 blind people who can serve as mentors and role models for our children. And finally, as our children grow up, they, too, have the Federation to belong to. The purpose of the NOPBC is to: create a climate of opportunity for blind children in home and society. provide information and support to parents of blind children. facilitate the sharing of experience and concerns among parents of blind children. develop and expand resources available to parents and their children. help parents of blind children gain understanding and perspective through partnership and contact with blind adults. function as an integral part of the National Federation of the Blind in its ongoing effort to achieve equality and opportunity for all blind persons.

WACAP is a champion for children, finding and preparing permanent families, and offering lifelong support after adoption.

Since 1944, Citizens' Committee for Children of New York, Inc. (CCC) has convened, informed and mobilized New Yorkers to make the city a better place for children. CCC's approach to child advocacy is fact-based and combines the best features of public policy advocacy with a tradition of citizen activism. Casting light on the issues, engaging allies, fueling civic discourse, identifying improvements and envisioning alternatives has helped CCC make children a priority in New York City.

The foundation works to help babies and young children who are deaf or hard of hearing in low- and middle-income countries by building local capacity—training professionals, supporting early identification and newborn screening, and providing hearing technology and family/clinical support—so children can learn to listen and speak and reach their potential.

The Shining Through Centre is located in a historic home in Woodbridge and is regarded as one of the premier sites in Ontario for support for children with Autism.

The CanaDares Society is a registered non-profit Canadian charity that operates a home for disadvantaged children near Dar es Salaam, Tanzania. Our home is called "Vijaliwa Vingi" ~Kiswahili for "God's Many Little Gifts". Capital and Working Funds are required to build & operate Vijaliwa Vingi. Vijaliwa Vingi is a registered NGO Tanzanian Charity. History of CanaDares It began as Lynda Kearn’s vision after 3 months volunteering in Tanzania. She learned that thousands of children lived on the streets of Dar es Salaam and that few of these children went to school. Lynda returned to Sechelt, BC, Canada determined to create a society to help as many children as she could. She asked friends and family to help and CanaDares was formed in May, 2002. Lynda donated $5000 of her personal funds to ensure her return to Tanzania where she began the tasks of forming a NGO charity in Tanzania, applying for residency status and gaining approval for a home for vulnerable children. www.canadares.ca
