MiracleFeet increases access to proper treatment for children born with clubfoot in developing countries through our partnerships with local healthcare providers. Since we began our work, MiracleFeet has helped change the lives of more than 100,000 children in 39 different countries.

Donating to Kidsave gives older, forgotten orphans and foster kids a chance at finding a family. These kids are often hidden from view with little or no opportunity to meet people who might adopt or mentor them. Thanks to George and Kathryn Hicker every unrestricted gift – whether it’s a monthly sponsorship, tribute ad or straight donation will be matched up to $100,000. Kidsave advocates for permanent, safe and stable families for all children and gives kids growing up in foster care and orphanages summer or weekend visits with host families who get to know the child and team with Kidsave to help that child find a family. When people meet these remarkable children the vast majority of children are adopted or connected with a committed mentor.

Through our two programs, Outreach & Health, and Youth Services, we provide basic resources, free healthcare, housing and supportive services for youth, referrals to other resources, and more. Planned Parenthood of Metropolitan Washington (PPMW) mission is to provide high-quality reproductive health care, to promote healthy sexuality and to protect the right to make those decisions. PPMW provides affordable, confidential reproductive health care including life-saving cancer screenings such as pap smears and breast exams, family planning, counseling, and testing services at our community health centers, as well teen pregnancy prevention and other community education programs throughout the D.C. metropolitan area. For the majority of our patients, most of whom are low-income, PPMW fulfils a fundamental need for affordable, accessible reproductive health care and birth control information, particularly among low-income teens, immigrants and other insured and underinsured area residents. PPMW serves more over 40,000 patients at five community health centers throughout the metro region, offering a wide range of family planning and reproductive health services. To encourage and facilitate increased use of our medical and family planning services, PPMW conducts community education and outreach (in both Spanish and English), in order to give individuals the tools they need to make responsible decisions about sexuality, birth control and pregnancy prevention. PPMW also provides training programs for parents, school nurses, teachers, clergy, religious lay leaders and other adults working with youth. These programs are designed to help adults communicate with teens on subjects related to sexuality, sexually transmitted infections and prevention of unintended pregnancies.
