Guide Dogs for the Blind provides enhanced mobility to qualified individuals through partnership with dogs whose unique skills are developed and nurtured by dedicated volunteers and a professional staff. Established in 1942, Guide Dogs for the Blind continues its dedication to quality student training services and extensive follow-up support for graduates. Our programs are made possible through the teamwork of staff, volunteers and generous donors. Services are provided to students from the United States and Canada at no cost to them.

The Seeing Eye is a philanthropic organization whose mission is to enhance the independence, dignity and self-confidence of blind people through the use of Seeing Eye dogs.

The Children's Tumor Foundation is a not-for-profit organization dedicated to finding effective treatments for the millions of people worldwide living with neurofibromatosis (NF), a term for three distinct disorders: NF1, NF2, and schwannomatosis.  NF causes tumors to grow on nerves throughout the body and can lead to blindness, bone abnormalities, cancer, deafness, disfigurement, learning disabilities, and excruciating and disabling pain.   NF affects one in every 3,000 people, more than cystic fibrosis, Duchenne muscular dystrophy, and Huntington’s disease combined.  The Children’s Tumor Foundation funds critical research into neurofibromatosis.  In addition to benefiting those who live with NF, this research is shedding new light on several forms of cancer, brain tumors, bone abnormalities, and learning disabilities, ultimately benefiting the broader community.

The National Federation of the Blind knows that blindness is not the characteristic that defines you or your future. We defend the rights of blind people of all ages and provide information and support to families with blind children, older Americans who are losing vision, and more. Founded in 1940, the NFB is the transformative membership and advocacy organization of blind Americans with affiliates, chapters, and divisions in the fifty states, Washington DC, and Puerto Rico. Together, with love, hope, and determination, we transform dreams into reality.

The American Council of the Blind strives to increase the independence, security, equality of opportunity and quality of life for all blind and visually impaired people.

The Carroll Center for the Blind's mission is to serve the needs of individuals who are blind and visually impaired by providing rehabilitation, skills training, and educational opportunities to achieve independence, self-sufficiency and self-fulfillment, and by educating the public regarding the potential of persons who are blind and visually impaired.

Leader Dogs for the Blind breeds and trains dogs (and future owners) to assist the blind. Blind Beginnings strives to guarantee quality of life for children and youth who are blind or visually impaired by promoting equal access to the world's resources and opportunities. We seek to challenge the limits of what is deemed possible for blind and visually impaired children and to establish a strong foundation on which to build rich and fulfilling lives.
