ASSAULTED WOMEN'S HELPLINE

The Assaulted Women's Helpline (AWHL) offers a telephone crisis line to all women in Ontario who have experienced abuse. It provides crisis counselling, emotional support, safety planning, information and referrals for shelters, rape crisis centres, legal services and supports, community based supports, criminal justice supports and services, counsellors and therapists, support groups, and culturally and linguistically appropriate services. AWHL allows women to reach out for help free of charge in up to 154 languages, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, assured of their anonymity and confidentiality.
