Razom's mission is to foster Ukrainian democracy and civil society through a global network of experts and organizations supporting democracy activists and human rights advocates throughout Ukraine. Razom serves primary Ukraine and United States of America. We focus our efforts on three activities: 1) Amplifying voices from Ukraine in conversations in the US 2) Building a bridge of trust between citizens in Ukraine and local government bodies 3) Being a catalyst for organizations and individuals to do more to build a successful Ukraine

The Dempsey Center makes life better for people managing the impact of cancer by creating a haven of support for patients, survivors and caregivers; by easing the side effects of cancer and cancer treatment through complementary therapies, counseling and other support services; by sharing cancer-related knowledge, skills and tools in individual and group settings; and by providing cancer support that feels good for men, women, children, teens and families.

RI provides emergency relief, rehabilitation and development assistance to victims of natural disasters and civil conflicts worldwide. RI's programs bridge the gap between immediate and long-term community development. This orientation promotes self-reliance and the peaceful reintegration of populations. RI's programs are designed with the input and participation of target beneficiary groups such as women, children and the elderly, whose special needs are often neglected in disasters.

The mission of Project Angel Food is to nourish the body and spirit of men, women, and children affected by HIV/AIDS, cancer, and other life-threatening illnesses. Our goal is to make sure no one in our community suffers the ravages of hunger and malnutrition while struggling with serious illnesses. Without our daily meal deliveries, clients risk malnutrition and deteriorating health since they are unable to provide their own meals. Project Angel Food acts with urgency as hunger and illness do not wait.

METAvivor is dedicated to the specific fight of women and men living with stage 4 metastatic breast cancer. At the time of METAvivor’s founding, no organization was dedicated to funding research for the disease and no patient groups were speaking out about the dearth of stage 4 cancer research. While more and more people have taken up the cry for more stage 4 research, METAvivor remains the sole US organization dedicated to awarding annual stage 4 breast cancer research.

Their Mission "We believe that no one should go without menstrual care. Everything we do, we believe in ending the social stigma and taboos surrounding menstruation. The way we make a difference is by providing menstrual hygiene kits to those that would otherwise go without. We are a movement, join us! #HappyPeriod is a social movement of girlfriends providing menstrual hygiene kits to the homeless. Our initiative supports anyone with a monthly cycle, that is homeless and/or living in poverty. We are inclusive to veterans, disable, LGBT, women, and even non-binary."

Paralyzed Veterans of America (PVA), a congressionally chartered veterans service organization founded in 1946, has developed a unique expertise on a wide variety of issues involving the special needs of our members veterans of the armed forces who have experienced spinal cord injury or dysfunction. PVA will use that expertise to be the leading advocate for: - Quality health care for our members - Research and education addressing spinal cord injury and dysfunction - Benefits available as a result of our members military service - Civil rights and opportunities which maximize the independence of our members and all people with disabilities. For more than 60 years, PVA has fought for our veterans who answered the call when our nation asked for their service . . . and in return, they have given up their freedoms to protect ours.

Our mission is to find a effective treatments and ultimately a cure for fragile X syndrome, the most common inherited cause of autism. We directly fund research grants and fellowships at top universities around the world. FRAXA was founded in 1994 by three parents of children with fragile X. Fragile X Syndrome is the most common inherited cause of autism and intellectual disabilities. It affects 1 in 4000 boys and 1 in 6000 girls worldwide, and one in 260 women and 1 in 800 men are carriers. Treatments for fragile X are likely to help people affected by related disorders including autism, Alzheimers, and many other brain disorders.

The Society of St. Vincent de Paul USA harnesses the power of community and partnerships to feed, clothe, house and heal individuals and families in our community who have nowhere else to turn for help. Our volunteer members – known as Vincentians – are women and men who are compelled by our Catholic Christian faith to serve those who are needy and suffering. From rental assistance and homelessness prevention, to thrift stores and food pantries, to disaster recovery and charitable pharmacies, we share our time and treasure with those who need help and hope. We believe EVERYONE deserves a fair chance at a bright future, regardless of income or life circumstances.

Planned Parenthood of Metropolitan Washington (PPMW) mission is to provide high-quality reproductive health care, to promote healthy sexuality and to protect the right to make those decisions. PPMW provides affordable, confidential reproductive health care including life-saving cancer screenings such as pap smears and breast exams, family planning, counseling, and testing services at our community health centers, as well teen pregnancy prevention and other community education programs throughout the D.C. metropolitan area. For the majority of our patients, most of whom are low-income, PPMW fulfils a fundamental need for affordable, accessible reproductive health care and birth control information, particularly among low-income teens, immigrants and other insured and underinsured area residents. PPMW serves more over 40,000 patients at five community health centers throughout the metro region, offering a wide range of family planning and reproductive health services. To encourage and facilitate increased use of our medical and family planning services, PPMW conducts community education and outreach (in both Spanish and English), in order to give individuals the tools they need to make responsible decisions about sexuality, birth control and pregnancy prevention. PPMW also provides training programs for parents, school nurses, teachers, clergy, religious lay leaders and other adults working with youth. These programs are designed to help adults communicate with teens on subjects related to sexuality, sexually transmitted infections and prevention of unintended pregnancies.
