The Epilepsy Foundation is the national organization that works for people affected by seizures through research, education, advocacy and service. We are an organization of volunteers committed to the prevention and cure of epilepsy and a positive quality of life for everyone who lives with seizure disorders. Our current strategic goals include broadening and strengthening of research, providing individuals and families with easy access to reliable information, and assuring access to appropriate medical care for those affected by seizures.

Planned Parenthood of Metropolitan Washington (PPMW) mission is to provide high-quality reproductive health care, to promote healthy sexuality and to protect the right to make those decisions. PPMW provides affordable, confidential reproductive health care including life-saving cancer screenings such as pap smears and breast exams, family planning, counseling, and testing services at our community health centers, as well teen pregnancy prevention and other community education programs throughout the D.C. metropolitan area. For the majority of our patients, most of whom are low-income, PPMW fulfils a fundamental need for affordable, accessible reproductive health care and birth control information, particularly among low-income teens, immigrants and other insured and underinsured area residents. PPMW serves more over 40,000 patients at five community health centers throughout the metro region, offering a wide range of family planning and reproductive health services. To encourage and facilitate increased use of our medical and family planning services, PPMW conducts community education and outreach (in both Spanish and English), in order to give individuals the tools they need to make responsible decisions about sexuality, birth control and pregnancy prevention. PPMW also provides training programs for parents, school nurses, teachers, clergy, religious lay leaders and other adults working with youth. These programs are designed to help adults communicate with teens on subjects related to sexuality, sexually transmitted infections and prevention of unintended pregnancies.

The National Kidney Foundation (NKF), a major voluntary nonprofit health organization, is dedicated to preventing kidney and urinary tract diseases, improving the health and well-being of individuals and families affected by kidney disease and increasing the availability of all organs for transplantation. The NKF is ranked in the top 1% of socially responsible brands and meets the standards of the Wise Giving Alliance of the Better Business Bureau where 80% of every dollar raised goes directly to programs and services.

The International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) is an impartial, neutral and independent organization whose exclusively humanitarian mission is to protect the lives and dignity of victims of armed conflict and other situations of violence and to provide them with assistance. The ICRC also endeavors to prevent suffering by promoting and strengthening humanitarian law and universal humanitarian principles. Established in 1863, the ICRC is the origin of the Geneva Conventions and the International Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement. It directs and coordinates the international activities conducted by the Movement in armed conflicts and other situations of violence.

Stand Up To Cancer’s (SU2C) mission is to raise funds to accelerate the pace of groundbreaking translational research that can get new therapies to patients quickly and save lives now. SU2C brings together the best and the brightest researchers and mandates collaboration among the cancer community. By galvanizing the entertainment industry, SU2C has set out to generate awareness, educate the public on cancer prevention and help more people diagnosed with cancer become long-term survivors. Stand Up To Cancer is an initiative of the Entertainment Industry Foundation.

The mission of the NOCC is to save lives through the prevention and cure of ovarian cancer and to improve quality of life for survivors and their caregivers. Nearly 19,800+ women in the United States are diagnosed with ovarian cancer each year, and approximately 12,800+ women die from the disease. Unfortunately, most cases are diagnosed in later stages when the prognosis is poor. However, if diagnosed and treated early when the cancer is confined to the ovary, the five-year survival rate is over 90 percent. This is why it’s imperative that the early signs and symptoms are recognized not only by women, but by their families and the healthcare community.

Our volunteer members – known as Vincentians – are women and men who are compelled by our Catholic Christian faith to serve those who are needy and suffering. From rental assistance and homelessness prevention, to thrift stores and food pantries, to disaster recovery and charitable pharmacies, we share our time and treasure with those who need help and hope. We believe EVERYONE deserves a fair chance at a bright future, regardless of income or life circumstances.

Prime of life neurodegeneration is a spectrum of relatively rare diseases that often afflict people during productive, active years and lead to debilitating symptoms and early death. They are generally categorized as frontotemporal disorders and are characterized by progressive personality, behavior, language and motor decline. These diseases create a level of functional impairment that significantly compromises the ability to carry out activities of daily living. There is currently no treatment and no cure, but there is hope. Research into these diseases may be a gateway to understanding and ultimately preventing, treating and curing more common neurodegenerative diseases like Alzheimer's and Parkinson's. CurePSP is the leading organization within this disease spectrum, providing support for patients, families and caregivers; awareness and education to healthcare professionals; and global research funding. Current research into prime of life diseases, especially progressive supranuclear palsy (PSP), is showing great promise for unlocking the secrets of neurodegeneration.

“Maanavseva" (Service to Humans) is a Registered Non-Profit with a mission to fight malignancies including breast cancer among rural women in Indian villages. The mission is achieved through activities such as educating, creating awareness, conducting preventive examinations and mammogram screenings and facilitating the hand-holding of rural women with necessary follow-up and treatment.Maanavseva intends to implement this mission by adopting one village at a time and conducting 100% screening of all village women as per the health guidelines and implement follow-up on a sustained basis. The short term focus is to create a successful process for a cluster of villages that is replicable and sustainable. Maanavseva will achieve this goal through conducting pilot studies in villages, identify, resolve and document the challenges involved and arrive at a workable and sustainable model. The long term focus is to expand the model to several clusters of villages through sponsorship of corporations, local bodies and other Governmental Schemes. Most prevalent cancers for rural women can be cured by early detection and appropriate treatment. If these cancers are detected early, the cost is less, treatment is less invasive, survival rates are higher and the quality of life is better. Therefore we believe that by creating awareness about these cancers and early detection through mammogram and other screenings is extremely important and is the only way to win the war on breast cancer.

Money raised through the Coronavirus Relief Fund will be split evenly amongst CDC Foundation, International Medical Corps and Direct Relief to support first responders & medical professionals working on the coronavirus globally. CDC Foundation EIN: 58-2106707 Funds raised by the CDC Foundation through their Emergency Response Fund will be used to meet fast-emerging needs identified by CDC to help respond to the public health threat posed by this virus. These include additional support for state and local health departments, support for the global response, logistics, communications, data management, personal protective equipment, critical response supplies and more.
