The Society of St. Vincent de Paul USA harnesses the power of community and partnerships to feed, clothe, house and heal individuals and families in our community who have nowhere else to turn for help. Our volunteer members – known as Vincentians – are women and men who are compelled by our Catholic Christian faith to serve those who are needy and suffering. From rental assistance and homelessness prevention, to thrift stores and food pantries, to disaster recovery and charitable pharmacies, we share our time and treasure with those who need help and hope. We believe EVERYONE deserves a fair chance at a bright future, regardless of income or life circumstances.

Mothers Without Borders is dedicated to fostering resilience and self-sufficiency in developing countries through a holistic approach to community empowerment, particularly focusing on the most vulnerable women, youth, and children. Our work is rooted in our commitment to nurture human potential, ensuring that every initiative is not just a temporary fix but a step towards lasting change. We envision a day where every community is equipped and empowered to develop sustainable solutions to the problems that place their children in crisis. This vision is brought to life through engaging with communities to spearhead initiatives that are conceived, developed, and sustained by the very people they aim to benefit. By amplifying local voices and knowledge, we construct programs that are culturally appropriate and contextually relevant and always focused on empowering individuals to lead self-sufficient lives.

Planned Parenthood of Metropolitan Washington (PPMW) mission is to provide high-quality reproductive health care, to promote healthy sexuality and to protect the right to make those decisions. PPMW provides affordable, confidential reproductive health care including life-saving cancer screenings such as pap smears and breast exams, family planning, counseling, and testing services at our community health centers, as well teen pregnancy prevention and other community education programs throughout the D.C. metropolitan area. For the majority of our patients, most of whom are low-income, PPMW fulfils a fundamental need for affordable, accessible reproductive health care and birth control information, particularly among low-income teens, immigrants and other insured and underinsured area residents. PPMW serves more over 40,000 patients at five community health centers throughout the metro region, offering a wide range of family planning and reproductive health services. To encourage and facilitate increased use of our medical and family planning services, PPMW conducts community education and outreach (in both Spanish and English), in order to give individuals the tools they need to make responsible decisions about sexuality, birth control and pregnancy prevention. PPMW also provides training programs for parents, school nurses, teachers, clergy, religious lay leaders and other adults working with youth. These programs are designed to help adults communicate with teens on subjects related to sexuality, sexually transmitted infections and prevention of unintended pregnancies.

The Testicular Cancer Awareness Foundation is committed to raising awareness and educating the public about the most common cancer in men ages 15–44, while providing lifesaving support to patients, survivors, and caregivers with compassion and care. Our Mission? Awareness . . Support . . Survivorship We are a nonprofit compassionately dedicated to the fight against testicular cancer through awareness and outreach, promoting the importance of monthly self-exams for early detection, support and guidance to patients and families, providing a resource for the medical community, providing financial assistance to those in need and continuing to save lives. We stress the importance of early detection through the practice of monthly testicular self-exams (TSE), just as women are taught to detect early signs of breast cancer through monthly breast self-exams. We are fighting to make TSE part of health education classes taught at the middle school, high school, and college levels. We seek to reduce the great stigma and taboo associated with talking about testicular health; most teenagers and young men are embarrassed to openly talk about their bodies and the changes taking place. We do this simply by talking about testicular cancer, its impacts and how to recognize the signs through regular testicular self-exams. We assist patients in seeking the most effective treatments for testicular cancer that yield the best outcomes. Testicular cancer is not as common as many of the other cancers and as a result some medical facilities are inexperienced in the treatment of this disease and may be unaware of the most effective protocols. It is crucial when diagnosed with testicular cancer that the patient has access to the most reliable and expert care that yields the best treatment plans and outcomes resulting in lifesaving measures. We seek to reduce the financial burden of a testicular cancer diagnoses by empowering the patient with resource information for financial assistance through the use of online fundraising tools. We also provide limited funding to those in immediate financial need, including helping with gas, groceries and more. We provide an online private support group to help connect those who have been affected by this disease. The role of emotional and psychological support in the management of testicular cancer is extremely important and vital to an individual's overall well-being. We have over 4,000 active members in our private support group, fostering a strong and supportive community through meaningful conversations. Our programs: Financial Assistance Program - Provides direct financial aid as well as other resources for financial assistance. Academic Education Program - Provides academic and health professionals, such as teachers, coaches, doctors and nurses with the knowledge and tools to educate students and patients about the importance of early detection of testicular cancer. Centers of Excellence - Features a comprehensive list of centers recognized for their expertise in the treatment of testicular cancer. Outreach & Awareness Program - Organizes events, fundraisers, and conferences while distributing educational materials nationwide to spread awareness. Utilizes social media as a key tool for outreach. Testicular Cancer Conferences - Brings together an international community of TC patients, survivors, and their loved ones to address the physical and emotional challenges of diagnosis and treatment at a young age. Covers life during and after cancer, lifestyle changes for healing, and features a panel of medical experts providing essential information and long-term survivorship resources. Research Studies - Collaborates with researchers to advance the understanding of testicular cancer survivorship. The Calgary Food Bank is a food distribution hub. We provide quality emergency food directly to Calgarians to meet their individual needs (prenatal, homeless, households with children, etc). We also collect food donations for distribution to other charities (including the Mustard Seed, the Community Kitchen Program of Calgary, the Salvation Army and women’s shelters).

Women's Health In Women's Hands is a community health centre for women of diverse backgrounds in Metropolitan Toronto and surrounding municipalities. Our primary health care team of highly skilled health care professionals specializes in the health and wellness needs of racialized women. Our services are fully accessible and designed to address the barriers that prevent us from being healthy.

Our mission is to empower women, girls, and their families by providing them with the skills and linkages to meet their self-defined needs, increase their access to care and support, and engage them so that they are best equipped to ‘own’ their health outcomes, improve their quality of life, and protect their rights.

The mission of The Women's Home is to build communities that strengthen women and support families as they reclaim their stability. The Women's Home has worked to build whole lives in the Houston area since our creation in 1957. Our services focus on vulnerable households with a special emphasis on women and families. We have four unique programs -- a residential treatment program located near downtown, and two permanent housing programs and a collaborative service center in Spring Branch -- that offer tailored housing, behavioral health care, and wrap around support services to help women, children, and families build resilient lives.

Women's Shelter, organized in 1976, began as a grassroots organization to offer safety and advocacy services to victims of domestic abuse and to their children. Women's Shelter's goal is to reduce domestic violence by offering alternative housing, reducing barriers to violence free living, educating the public about difficulties facing victims, and preventing future violence by working with the children.
