MRF's mission is to foster a united voice for the rural, grassroots Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender and Intersex (LGBTI) community in Mbarara, Uganda, empowering and raising awareness on equal rights for all.

Following a model of care and accompaniment developed by Partners In Health 25 years ago, PIH Canada takes a comprehensive approach to health care for the poor -- one that addresses root causes of poverty and disease in communities by starting with the stories and needs of individual patients. We believe high quality medical care is a human right, and that the health of the world’s poor, wherever they live, places a unique claim on our collective moral obligation. This is the vision that PIH Canada’s work will uphold.
