The American Foundation for Suicide Prevention is dedicated to saving lives and bringing hope to those affected by suicide. AFSP creates a culture that’s smart about mental health through education and community programs, develops suicide prevention through research and advocacy, and provides support for those affected by suicide. AFSP has local chapters in all 50 states with programs and events nationwide.

Our mission is to open minds, save lives and restore hope through prevention, intervention and postvention, using education, advocacy and collaboration.

According to mental health experts, suicide is a preventable cause of death. We strive to offer new technology that encourages individuals, who are not willing to seek traditional mental health treatments, to get help, and thereby lower current world suicide rates. Helping those who are struggling with suicidal thoughts is essential to help reduce the number of people who take their lives. We are a nonprofit organization dedicated to providing aid and support to those who may be struggling with thoughts of suicide. Our trained staff and resources are available to provide assistance and support. We can also provide resources and information to those who may be unaware of their own situation. We are here to help. Provide education, information, and resources to advocate for suicide prevention in the construction industry

The mission of the Kansas City Suicide Awareness and Prevention Program (KCSAPP) is to eliminate suicide in Kansas City and the surrounding region through advocacy in health policy, initiation of data collection and analysis, organization of community collaboration on assessment and prevention activities, innovative, best practices clinical training, and ongoing  "Zero Suicide" system improvement among mental health, social service and first responder agencies. Our vision is that programs and services will be comprehensive, timely,  multidisciplinary, collaborative, culturally, age and gender sensitive. Also that outcomes will be measurable.

The mission of Suicide Prevention & Crisis Service of Tompkins County is to promote constructive responses to crisis and trauma and to prevent violence - to self and others - through direct support and community education.
