The foundation is a patient-led nonprofit that raises awareness about inflammatory breast cancer, provides education and support to patients and families, and funds patient-focused research and biobanking to improve diagnosis, treatment, and outcomes.

In December of 2008, Cassandra Brown, was diagnosed with this terrible disease. Although she had minor health issues, she was otherwise healthy and had no cancer-related symptoms. For more than a year, she gracefully battled on, showing her strength and being a role model to us all. Unlike many diagnosed with this disease, she was blessed with several months of happy times, leaving an everlasting footprint in the lives of those around her. In March of 2010, Cassandra’s fight was over. As a legacy to her, the Cassandra’s Cure for Cancer Foundation, Inc., a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, was created to raise awareness and funds to help find a cure. Over the last 8 years, our foundation has raised over $70,000 through charitable events from which all proceeds were donated to the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network (www.pancan.org), the largest advocacy and medical research organization focused on finding a cure for this terrible disease.

The MFC Foundation is a 501 (c) 3 organization formed for the purpose providing community based social services to families living with a CANCER diagnosis. Our mission is to provide emotional, educational and financial support to families specifically for the non-medical aspects of treatment.

Established in 1996 as a grassroots initiative, we are dedicated to "Being The Bridge for Williams County residents facing financial challenges due to cancer diagnoses. Over the years, we've consistently upheld this mission, serving as a vital connection during times of crisis. At the heart of our work is a commitment to prioritizing individuals and their families, providing personalized services. In response to the changing social and economic landscape, we offer resources and guidance to navigate life changes. Our primary focus is to establish a solid foundation for treatment planning, extending financial assistance for medication, mileage, and other medical expenses.
