The Canadian Hemophilia Society (CHS) was founded in 1953 by a group of dedicated hemophiliacs, family members and physicians. Through their tireless efforts, the CHS quickly developed from a small, Montreal-based support group to a national volunteer organization with chapters in each province. Today, the CHS is governed by a group of experienced and dedicated volunteers from across the country. They are actively involved in the development of national policies and programs to meet the needs of all persons with inherited bleeding disorders.

The Canadian Marfan Association (CMA) is a national, charitable organization dedicated to saving lives and improving the quality of life for patients and families affected by Marfan syndrome and Thoracic Aortic Disorders. For more than 25 years the Canadian Marfan Association has been dedicated to assisting Marfan and related disorder patients and their families. We accomplish our goals by: Educating patients, family members and health care professionals about Marfan syndrome and Thoracic Aortic Diseases Providing a network of support for patients and families Improving medical care by facilitating the development of Marfan and Aortic Clinics Fostering and supporting research through the CMA Research Grant Program The Canadian Marfan Association is a member of: International Federation of Marfan Syndrome Organizations (IFMSO, marfanworld.org) Thoracic Aortic Disease Coalition (TADcoalition.org) Canadian Organization for Rare Disorders (raredisorders.ca)

CMHA Durham has a well-established history serving the Durham community since 1959. It is part of a national association founded in 1918. CMHA Durham has evolved immensely since the early beginnings in a small house with a staff of 2 and volunteers. Today as an Accredited Agency (2003, 2006, 2009)we own a building housed with a wide range of services that address the special needs of the community, such as: Community Access services Primary Care and Nursing services Housing and Case Management services Health Promotion and Public Relations Rehabilitation and Employment services Assertive Community Treatment Team (ACT) Community Treatment Order (CTO) services Corporate services CMHA Durham is governed by a Volunteer Board of Directors with an interest in mental health issues. The board is comprised of individuals from a variety of backgrounds.

CMHA Brant provides a variety of services and programs targeted to persons living with mental illness and their families, including case management, counselling, vocational support, social/recreation activities, court support and diversion, supported housing, peer support, family education and support, as well as mental health promotion and awareness events.

Our Vision - All people have the resources they need for mental health and full participation in community life. CMHA-Edmonton Region is a non-profit volunteer agency. It functions as a community centre promoting mental health. It works in partnership with other community agencies to educate about mental health and illness, to advocate for better conditions in the community and to help people build strong supports for community life. This is accomplished through social action, public education, direct service programs, housing and other special agency projects. The agency's operation is governed by the Mental Health Act, the Health Information Act, the Freedom of Information and Privacy Protection Act, the Companies Act, the Protections of Persons in Care Act and the Personal Information Protection Act.

Canadian Naturopathic Foundation The Canadian Naturopathic Foundation (CNF) is a charitable organization supporting naturopathic medicine in Canada. Research Fund This fund facilitates research related to naturopathic medicine, which the board considers beneficial to the profession. The CNF must retain some rights of ownership of the research. Public Education Fund This fund is used to promote public education and awareness of naturopathic medicine. Scholarship Fund Scholarship recipients must be a Canadian student in full time study at an approvied Naturopathic college and must meet specific criteria.

The Canadian Occupational Therapy Foundation became a reality on May 17, 1983. The first Board of Governors consisted of three prominent Occupational Therapists: Karen Goldenberg, President; Dr. Thelma Cardwell, Vice President and Dr. Isobel Robinson, Secretary / Treasurer. The purpose of COTF has always been to support research and scholarship in the field of occupational therapy. The Foundation’s focus has been on generating, receiving and maintaining funds and developing mechanisms for granting awards to individuals and organizations for research and scholarships. From 1983 to 1995, COTF and CAOT shared office space in Toronto. When CAOT relocated to Ottawa in 1995, COTF remained in Toronto. A decision was made in 2002 for the Foundation to once again share office space with CAOT in order to foster a synergistic relationship which would benefit the entire occupational therapy community. Since 2004, COTF and CAOT share office space in Ottawa.

Since 1961, the Canadian Paraplegic Association (Alberta) has been helping Albertans with spinal cord injuries (SCI) and other physical disabilities. We are a leader in offering support, direct service, information and advocacy to people impacted by the life changing event of SCI. We have four core areas: Rehabilitation Services that includes First Nations and Métis Services and Consulting and Vocational Rehabilitation services, Information Services, Community Development and Advocacy, Peer Support and Volunteer Services.Whether it be assisting a newly spinal cord injured child or adult, or lobbying for better public transportation, or helping to create a more inclusive community, CPA (Alberta) embraces the approach that there is, "more than one way".

Spinal Cord Injury BC’s Peer Support Program helps people with spinal cord injuries, and related disabilities, overcome the challenges of living in a wheelchair by building communities of support throughout British Columbia. SCI BC Information Services is the trusted resource for people with spinal cord injury and their support teams including family and friends, health professionals and community workers. We operate a toll free line, a comprehensive online resource centre, and customized one-to-one support.

Since our founding in 1945 by a group of World War II veterans, SCI Ontario has been committed to reaching out and responding to the needs of all Ontarians with spinal cord injuries and their families. It is estimated that over 365 new permanent injuries occur in Ontario yearly. The majority of new injuries are experienced by young men between the ages of 15 and 34. From the moment of injury, SCI Ontario has been there to help through our core programs and services; peer counselling and support, rehabilitation counselling, vocation/ employment services, community advocacy, case management, information services, and attendant services. Formerly known as Canadian Paraplegic Association Ontario.

CPAR was founded in 1984 by Canadian physician Mark Doidge, in response to the extreme famine and poor health conditions faced by Ethiopian refugees in Sudan. CPAR's work started out as emergency relief in the form of food aid and medical intervention, but it has since evolved into an international development organization, committed to building healthy communities in Africa. With the idea of a healthy planet in mind, the majority of CPAR's work is focused on integrated health and sustainable development programs in the south-east region of Africa. CPAR's projects are located in Uganda, Ethiopia, Malawi and Tanzania. We develop primary health care, water and sanitation, income generation, peace building, emergency assistance, natural resource management and food security programs to help support vulnerable communities in Africa.

The Canadian Society for International Health (CSIH) is a national non-governmental organization that works domestically and internationally to reduce global health inequities and strengthen health systems.
