Huronia Community Foundation

The Huronia Communities Foundation is a locally run public foundation that aims to strengthen philanthropy. It builds and prudently manages permanent, income earning Endowment Funds from charitable donations. Annual earnings from these Endowment Funds are given in the form of Grants to charitable programs in support of our community. The Huronia Communities Foundation does not compete with other charities, but exists to support other local efforts by providing donors with an opportunity to make their financial support perpetual. The Huronia Communities Foundation serves the community made up of the Towns of Midland and Penetanguishene, the Townships of Tay, Tiny and Georgian Bay and Elmvale, Coldwater and Christian Island.

At Hospice we believe that the dying should experience dignity and peace, their caregivers should get the help they need, and their friends and family should be supported in their grief. We have served Terrace and surrounding communities for over 20 years.

HOSPICE LENNOX AND ADDINGTON

Hospice Lennox and Addington provides palliative care and support to those in our community who are diagnosed with a terminal illness. Our trained volunteers provide hours of care and compassion at no expense to the client. These services can be provided in the home, the hospital or in a nursing care facility. Referrals to the program can be made by anyone, including family, friends and/or health care professionals. Hospice L&A is a registered non-profit organization funded by the Ministry of Health, personal donations, memorials and our own fundraising projects.

The HIV & AIDS Legal Clinic Ontario provides free legal services to people living with or affected by HIV/AIDS in the province of Ontario. We are a registered charity. Donations allow us to meet the ongoing and increasing need for direct legal services. We practice "poverty law". Areas of law which particularly affect our clients include legal matters related to housing and shelter, income maintenance, social assistance and other similar government programs, human rights, health, employment and education.

Big Brothers Big Sisters of North Durham

Through a variety of programs- Traditional, In-School, Go Girls, Game On, and Friendship Programs- we provide mentorship to children and youth in the communities of Brock, Uxbridge and Scugog Townships. All of our mentors are volunteers and thoroughly screened and matched with our mentees as best we can. We are not government funded, and therefore hold a variety of fundraising events each year in order to keep our programs running.

We need your help today so that Grandview Children's Centre can provide critical therapy services for children and youth with special needs in Durham Region. We believe that Ours Kids deserve the opportunity to access the critical therapy services they need. The support of our community is vital to make this possible. Grandview serves over 4,300 children and youth, but nearly one thousand are still on a wait list.

RCMP Foundation

The RCMP Foundation (formerly known as the Mounted Police Foundation) is a registered charitable organization). Since its introduction in 1994 the RCMP Foundation has donated over $9 million dollars directly to Canadian community groups to support hundreds of initiatives for the benefit of youth at risk. Future prospects for thousands of less-fortunate Canadian youth look brighter, thanks to RCMP Foundation support of programs implemented by local community groups and the ongoing voluntarily services of RCMP members throughout our Nation. These programs create awareness and prevention of drug and alcohol abuse, bullying, violence and suicide and are complemented by the development of like skills, self-esteem and confidence, all tools to help fulfill the desire for a better life for Canada's youth at-risk.

GoodLife Kids Foundation is a Canadian private foundation with a vision for every Canadian kid to have the opportunity to live a fit and healthy good life. To date GoodLife Kids Foundation has granted over half a million dollars to organizations providing opportunities for kids to add physical activity to their daily lives. To date over 160,000 children have been introduced to a new path of healthy and active living.
