Iowa City Hospice provides compassionate care for anyone in our community affected by serious illness and end-of-life conditions.

At Wellspring, people living with cancer tell us what helps them the most - having access to information, receiving support, and learning new ways to cope. They also tell us the cancer journey has two roads: medical and emotional. Individuals and their loved ones often have difficulty finding the emotional, psychological and practical support they so urgently require. The support provided by Wellspring becomes a vital complement to medical treatment. In Calgary, only Wellspring devotes itself exclusively to the unique non-medical needs that cancer presents. People with cancer, their families and friends can exchange information, develop a support system and create a sense of hope, in a warm, caring and welcoming atmosphere. Wellspring charges no fees. Its programs are available free to anyone living with any type of cancer at any stage. Programs include individual and group classes, coping skills, expressive therapies, energy work, educational workshops and a discussion series.

Founded in 1985, Peel Children's Centre (PCC) is a fully accredited, not-for-profit community-based children's mental health agency that helps children, youth and their families who are struggling with serious emotional or behavioural difficulties. Each year, PCC provides approximately 6650 treatment services, free of charge, to children and youth who are struggling with depression, anxiety, bullying, physical or sexual abuse, self-harm and more. Our services include coordinated centralized intake, 24/7 crisis support, comprehensive clinical assessments, community-based outreach and court preparation. Individual and group counselling is offered at our offices, in the home, in the school and through our residential and day treatment programs. The Alzheimer's & Dementia Resource Center is the Central Florida community resource for families and non-professional care partners affected by Alzheimer’s disease and related dementias through education, advocacy, research opportunities, and compassionate support. The Alzheimer's & Dementia Resource Center focuses on "the forgotten victim," the care partner, who is coping with a difficult long-term disease, isolation, depression, and stress. By assisting families in their caregiving role with a wide variety of services, ADRC aims to increase the quality of life for those living with dementia and their care partners by reducing stress, promoting care partner wellness, and providing disease-specific education and support programs. The other important aspect of the Alzheimer's & Dementia Resource Center's mission is finding a cure for Alzheimer's disease and related dementias. ADRC has a contract with the state of Florida's Brain Bank program to coordinate enrollment and brain autopsies for a 23-county area, working with leading medical facilities such as Orlando Health.  The program coordinates the donation of brain tissue of those who have died of Alzheimer's and related diseases, thus providing national and worldwide scientists with access to rapid retrieval tissue for research studies. The program also provides families with closure through a definitive patient diagnosis and helps them understand their potential genetic risk of contracting dementia. Presently, only a brain autopsy at the time of death can confirm that an individual definitely suffered from Alzheimer's disease or one of the other 200 forms of dementia.
