Hospice of San Luis Obispo County is a non-medical volunteer service organization and community grief center. We support San Luis Obispo County residents who are grieving a death, coping with a life-limiting illness, or facing end of life by providing in-home support, caregiver respite, grief counseling, support groups, community response, and education. All services are provided at no charge, and we do not bill insurance.

Our Mission: To make a significant contribution to humanity through medical research by expanding our understanding of the secrets of life and by improving life's quality through innovative approaches to the treatment, diagnosis, and prevention of diseases.

Best Day Foundation helps children with special needs build confidence and self-esteem through safe, fun, adventure activities like surfing, bodyboarding, kayaking, outrigger canoeing, SUP, snow-tubing, and more. Please join us in creating special days for kids with Autism, Down Syndrome, Cerebral Palsy, Blindness, Cancer, Spinal Cord Injuries, and other physical and developmental challenges!

The Mission of The New York Stem Cell Foundation (NYSCF) is to accelerate cures for the major diseases of our time through stem cell research.

To provide information and a community to educate, empower and connect patients living with hypophosphatasia (HPP), their families and caregivers. The Foundation also promotes research of this rare bone disease through awareness and fundraising efforts.

The Center for Hope Hospice provides terminally ill patients with the natural, humane care known as hospice and their families or loved ones with physical, emotional, and spiritual support during their time of need. The Center brings to its patients a new, caring quality of life that actively supports the individual's right to live out the remainder of their life with dignity and in comfort, surrounded by the love of family and friends, and eased from the burdens of distress be it physical, emotional, spiritual, financial or social.​ The Center provides family and loved ones with the opportunity to discover and embrace the gift of life as they journey through loss. The Center welcomes all terminally ill patients, their families and loved ones without concern for race, ethnicity, religious affiliation or ability to pay.

SOS Children's Villages supports orphans and vulnerable children in several ways. We provide long-term,family-based care in our SOS Villages for over 75,000 children and youth worldwide. Each child is welcomed into a loving family environment and a supportive community in which to grow. We provide the education, training and life skills to help them become active, empowered young adults. In addition, SOS works with communities to help prevent child abandonment and to aid families struggling with poverty and disease through our SOS Family Strengthening Programmes. SOS Children's Villages supports over 1,000,000 children and their families through these family strengthening programmes, our schools and medical centres.

The VNA provides compassionate, innovative care of the highest quality, setting the standard for patients and caregivers needing home health, hospice and community health services, regardless of a patient’s ability to pay. The VNA works to provide innovative access to care for the community through home health, hospice and community health & education programs. The VNA's wellness programs encompass the community education and outreach aspect of our mission, promoting health throughout the counties we serve.
