The Alliance for South Asian AIDS Prevention (ASAAP) provides HIV/AIDS and sexual health services for South Asians in Toronto and surrounding regions. Our work is focused on three main programs areas: 1. Support for People Living with HIV/AIDS through peer counselling, peer support networks, referrals and treatment information 2. Education for those at-risk of HIV/AIDS and other STIs through workshops, resource development and outreach 3. Community development through volunteerism, arts-based engagement, communications and community based research Our work is grounded in principles of anti-oppression and GIPA/MIPA (the Greater and Meaningful Involvement of People living with HIV/AIDS). We also acknowledge the many social determinants of health such as racism, gender equity, housing, violence, mental health and employment and affect people's health choices and circumstances. We are always learning, growing and building strong partnerships with organizations & people.
Our vision is to help people improve the quality of their life and find relief from ongoing muscle and joint pain by bringing health professionals, pain sufferers and researchers together to improve diagnosis and treatment.

Black CAP is an organization that works to reduce HIV/AIDS in Toronto’s Black, African and Caribbean communities and enhance the quality of life of Black people living with or affected by HIV/AIDS. HIV/AIDS is spreading quickly in Toronto’s Black communities and we believe that our work is more important than ever. At this time, Black, African and Caribbean people account for more than one-fifth of all new HIV infections in Toronto, in the early nineties we made up only one-tenth of new HIV infections. Issues of HIV related stigma and discrimination, homophobia, anti-Black racism, immigration, poverty, and barriers to social inclusion also continue to make our work harder.
