WE HOUSE BOYS AND GIRLS WHO ARE TROUBLED, ABUSED, NEGLECTED OR COME FROM TROUBLED FAMILIES. WE PROVIDE AN ALTERNATIVE LIVING ARRANGEMENT FOR THESE CHILDREN WHO CANNOT LIVE IN THEIR OWN HOMES OR UNDER ANY OTHER FAMILY CARE. WE STRENGTHEN CHARACTER BY MODELING CHRIST-CENTERED VALUES. WE TRANSFORM HEARTS AND CHANGE LIVES WHILE MAINTAINING OUR CORE VALUES, WHICH ARE BIBLE-BASED, PEOPLE ORIENTED AND WITH AN OBEDIENT SPIRIT. WE HAVE BEEN SERVING CHILDREN AND FAMILIES FOR OVER 30 YEARS. OVER THE LAST 3 DECADES APPROXIMATLY 700 CHILDREN HAVE CALLED THE RANCH "HOME". The Children's Foundation of Guelph & Wellington is headed by a Board of Directors composed of a group of community minded, progressive and highly dedicated volunteers. The Board is responsible for the operation of the Foundation including the management and administration of the Funds accessed through professional referrals. The Foundation secures funding through corporate and private donations, special event management, annual fund raising campaigns, direct mail campaigns and proposals to other Foundations. These revenues are then distributed through The Children's Fund and the Promoli Fund.

Vanier is a leader in helping children and youth age 0 to 14 and their families with emotional and behavioural issues. For over 40 years, we have served London and surrounding communities in southwestern Ontario with compassionate, best-practice and innovative programs and services. Many of the children we help are reacting to overwhelming stresses within their lives like death, divorce, violence, neglect, or parents with mental health or substance abuse problems. Some are coping with genetic conditions and problems resulting from parenting. Our programs and services are flexible and responsive to the specific needs of each family. We offer: •Crisis intervention •Residential services •Day treatment •Early years programming and various attachment therapies •Family counselling •Community outreach

Children with Sanfilippo Syndrome are missing an essential enzyme that breaks down a complex body sugar called heparan sulfate. This sugar slowly builds in the bones, the brain and other organs, stopping normal development and causing hyperactivity, sleep disorders, loss of speech, mental retardation, dementia, and finally death by the mid teens. There is no cure or treatment yet. Sanfilippo Syndrome is one of seven Mucopolysaccharide (MPS) disorders. There are four different enzyme deficiencies that cause Sanfilippo, which are described as types A, B, C & D. There is very little difference between ther four types, t hough there have been a few very mild cases of the B form reported where the children have remained relatively healthy into early adult life.

THE MISSION OF THE OBLONG CHILDREN'S CHRISTIAN HOME IS TO GLORIFY GOD BY PROVIDING FAMILY-STYLE HOMES FOR AT-RISK AND STRUGGLING YOUTH. THE MINISTRY DISCIPLES YOUTH AND THEIR FAMILIES BY BUILDING HEALTHY RELATIONSHIPS, DEMONSTRATING GOD'S UNCONDITIONAL LOVE, TEACHING GOD'S TRUTH, AND DEVELOPING EACH CHILD'S UNIQUE ABILITIES. THE MINISTRY SEEKS TO REUNITE THE FAMILY OR PREPARE THE YOUNG PERSON FOR INDEPENDENT LIVING.

Brigadoon is a non-profit recreational facility on Aylesford Lake in the Annapolis Valley. With our partners, we deliver camp programming to children, youth and families living with a chronic illness, chronic condition, or special need across the Maritimes. Brigadoon is a place where campers come to experience new things, meet friends who are facing similar challenges, and to just be themselves…not a patient, a chart full of symptoms, or a good little soldier.
