BC Women's Health Foundation

BC Women's was founded in 1994 when the Grace Maternity Hospital merged with the Women's Health Centre of the former Shaughnessy Hospital. As a result, BC Women's has a breadth and scope of obstetrical and specialized women's programs unmatched in the country. BC Women's Foundation supports the hospital so that: * BC Women's may continue to be a national leader in meeting the health needs of women, while treating patients and their families as partners in their health care choices. * The hospital can continue to provide academic, career, and leadership opportunities for health care professionals pursuing specialties in women's health. BC Women's provides its services with: * Compassion, caring, honesty and integrity * Respect for the rights, opinions and dignity of every individual: patients, families, and staff * And excellence in all we do BC Women's focuses its research, teaching and care on women's health and the health of their families.

Victoria Faulkner Women's Centre

The Victoria Faulkner Women’s Centre is a Whitehorse, Yukon based organization that has been offering programming and support to women throughout the Yukon for more than thirty years. The Women’s Advocate offers support and assists women in assessing their options and accessing information and services. The Centre organizes annual events such as International Women’s Day, Sexual Assault Prevention Month and Take Back the Night, and offers various programs such as the Moms and Kids Summer Recreation Program, Rural Pregnant Moms Suite, daily drop-in, the Community Kitchen, film nights, book club, and Girls Club.

ANTIGONISH WOMEN'S RESOURCE CENTRE

Women and adolescent girls access our Women's Centre for information, one-to-one support and advocacy for a wide range of issues and concerns -- poverty, violence and abuse, sexual assault, mental and emotional health, affordable housing, parenting, social and familial relationships, separation and divorce, and women's rights and entitlements. We offer community-based programs that include a women's health clinic, a sexual assualt nurse examiner (SANE) program, support groups for adult survivors of sexual trauma, an in-school healthy relationships program for grade nine students, and a problem-solving skills development program for adolescent girls. We are working with our community on community health impact assessment, a poverty reduction strategy, food security and strengthening services for children and youth. We are involved at the provincial level with social policy advocacy focussed on poverty and violence against women.

WOMEN'S HEALTH CLINIC INC

We are a feminist community health clinic in Winnipeg, MB. Since 1981, we've offered a range of client-centred services for women of all ages. We also provide services to males through our Teen Clinics & the Provincial Eating Disorder Prevention & Recovery Program. We emphasize prevention, education and choice. We design our programs and services to encourage and empower people to take charge of their own health. We provide medical and counselling services, health education and information, and undertake advocacy and research on women's health issues. We also train and mentor volunteers in several programs to provide direct service and information to our clients and community members.

WOMEN'S HOUSE SERVING BRUCE & GREY

Women’s House Serving Bruce and Grey is a local non-profit organization that provides safe shelter and services to women 16 years of age and older, and their children, who have or are experiencing abuse, sexual violence and homelessness. Our Sexual Assault Services office is in Owen Sound, ON and the physical shelter and business office is in Kincardine, ON. Our Second Stage Housing Units are in Port Elgin, ON, Wiarton, ON and Kincardine, ON. All areas mentioned provide a safe environment for women and children for counselling, housing, group programs and transitional education.
