EMF owes special debts of gratitude to the leadership of the following organizations for their inspiration to empower and motivate Parkinson’s patients, for their fitness program development and modeling and for their overall support.

Broken Wings Ministry is dedicated to Tammy's (founder of Broken Wings) brother Jimbo who died on Christmas Eve 2014 from a heroin overdose. He suffered from Opiod / mental health issues. He was a victim of the national opioid crisis in America and did not receive the help he needed. Broken Wings want to restore lives to people who are broken by addiction and mental health / trauma. We offer services in the Orlando area with emphasis on women and children suffering from opiod addiction/ substance abuse and other mental health challenges. Curently we provide services including outpatient office based therapy, animal and garden therapy. Once our residential home is purchased, clients can come and heal in a safe holistic environment (body, mind and spirit). Therapeutic interventions will aim to get at the root cause of addiction/ mental health and seek healing from triggers with effective interventions to avoid relapse. Interventions include: animal therapy, garden therapy, EMDR, talk therapy, group therapy, therapeutic massage, spirituality, develooping life skills, nutrition education and a twelve step program with family involvement. Then, after a client graduates from our program we want to follow them for life. We believe that recovery is a life long process and want to stand by our alumni. Therefore, Broken Wings will offer lifelong alumni outpatient counseling services to clients for support to prevent relapse.

Helping homeless women and their children rebuild their lives. Founded in 1983, Win began as a shelter for four homeless women and their combined six children. Since then, Win has evolved to become a leading, non-profit agency and the largest provider of shelter for homeless families in New York City. We serve close to 12,000 homeless women and their children each year. Win has sharpened its focus from offering shelter and support to homeless women and children, to providing comprehensive programs and services that enable homeless families to succeed in life and break the cycle of homelessness. Groundbreaking programs developed by Win are: Win Academy, Income Building Program, Children’s Afterschool, Mentorship and Recreation.

Create a welcoming community of FREE cancer support, to bring knowledge, hope and empowerment to anyone and everyone impacted by cancer and their families. We are committed to expanding our program and broadening our reach to meet the growing needs of individuals living with cancer, in more ways, and in more places than ever before.

Founded in 2004, The McShin Foundation is a non-profit Recovery Community Organization committed to serving individuals and families in their fight against Substance Use Disorders.

Founded in 1972, the Chinese Progressive Association educates, organizes and empowers the low income and working class immigrant Chinese community in San Francisco to build collective power with other oppressed communities to demand better living and working conditions and justice for all people.

We are passionate about helping people successfully make that transition into sober life. It is important to us that we help each individual and families with all aspects and struggles one could go through when starting a life of long term recovery.

Move to Heal partners with gyms to provide free fitness classes, followed by non-denominational group recovery meetings. Our participants receive mental health counseling, nutritional counseling, and free gym memberships.Our participants bond on a physical level during workouts, and on an emotional level at meetings. They build strong, open relationships. They feel safe. They become further away from their life-threatening illness, which leads to long-term recovery.

The Alano Club of Crystal Lake is a social club for people who are interested in addiction recovery. The primary purpose of the Club’s building is to provide meeting space for meetings of Alcoholics Anonymous and also provides space for other recovery programs.

Camel Club, Inc. operates a community recovery clubhouse in Santa Rosa Beach that provides meeting space and support for 12‑step and related peer‑support groups (AA, NA, Al‑Anon and eating‑disorder recovery groups). The organization’s activities focus on keeping a sober, supportive environment open to people in recovery and facilitating regular fellowship and meetings.

Central Arkansas Harm Reduction Project is a grassroots organization based in Little Rock, Arkansas created by and for people impacted by the War on Drugs. We stand side-by-side with people in our community and offer love and support.
