The mission of The Women's Home is to build communities that strengthen women and support families as they reclaim their stability. The Women's Home has worked to build whole lives in the Houston area since our creation in 1957. Our services focus on vulnerable households with a special emphasis on women and families. We have four unique programs -- a residential treatment program located near downtown, and two permanent housing programs and a collaborative service center in Spring Branch -- that offer tailored housing, behavioral health care, and wrap around support services to help women, children, and families build resilient lives.

We energize, mobilize and support Black Women to transform their health and their lives through education, advocacy, support, and powerful partnerships. We exist to eliminate health disparities and other barriers that impact Black Women and Girls. We empower Black women and girls to live healthy, well, and thriving lives.

The American Medical Women’s Association is an organization which functions at the local, national, and international level to advance women in medicine, advocate for equity, and ensure excellence in healthcare. We achieve this by providing and developing leadership, advocacy, education, expertise, mentoring, and strategic alliances.

CWHC facilitates the empowerment of women, trans people, and young people by providing access to health care and health education in a respectful environment where people pay what they can afford.

For more than 25 years, WHEDco has been a leader in creating thriving neighborhoods in the South Bronx. In addition to building beautifully-designed green, affordable homes that serve as a foundation for family stability, WHEDco creates life-changing opportunities for local residents of every age through our research-driven Early Childhood and Youth Education initiatives, which set kids on a path to college; Small Business Development programs, which nurture entrepreneurship and address community needs; Family Support and Counseling services, which connect families to the critical resources they need to succeed; and Arts and Culture programming, which showcases the borough's musical legacy and supports a new generation of artists. HealthyWomen is the nation’s leading independent health information source for women. Their platform can be found at www.HealthyWomen.org. For more than 20 years, women have been coming to HealthyWomen for answers to their most pressing and personal health care questions. Through its wide array of online resources, HW provides health information that is original, objective, reviewed by medical experts and reflective of the advances in evidence-based health research. HealthyWomen has a history of providing unbiased and accurate health information. Over the years they have earned the trust of consumers, health care providers, nonprofits, corporate partners and the media. HealthyWomen is widely referenced in print, broadcast and online venues and has been named a top women's health site.
