The mission of SSJ Health Foundation is to provide compassionate and philanthropic support for the health care ministry of the Congregation of the Sisters of St Joseph of St Augustine, Florida, to the uninsured and underserved in the Miami-Dade community. This mission is accomplished through the work of the St. John Bosco Clinic, a free clinic serving children and adults in our community. As a safety-net clinic, St. John Bosco Clinic provides primary and specialty care to those without access to health care. Our philanthropic supporters and community partners have made it possible for us to serve our community since 1992.

Fox Chase's mission is to reduce the burden of human cancer through the pursuit of knowledge in basic biological research; to conduct research specifically related to cancer causes, prevention, and treatment; and to apply this knowledge to the prevention of cancer and the treatment of cancer patients. Fox Chase has the oldest and third-largest cancer center support grant from the National Cancer Institute and is the oldest cancer specialty hospital in the nation. In January 2000, Fox Chase opened the nation's first facility devoted to comprehensive cancer prevention research. In the years ahead, an estimated 89% of the funds necessary to sustain and grow St. Jude must be raised by ALSAC from generous donors."
