All programming volunteers are trained and certified by NAMI and have loved ones living with mental illness. As a result, we’re very familiar with local human services for people experiencing and living in recovery from mental illnesses. Our volunteers and staff can share their knowledge and experience with you.

The Triangle Down Syndrome Network (TDSN) is a nonprofit support, resource, and advocacy organization for individuals, families, and professionals. Our mission is to support, educate, and connect individuals with down syndrome, their families, and communities in North Carolina. We believe that the community benefits when individuals with Down syndrome are understood, respected, and appreciated. Lives are enriched when they are included in schools, recreation, workplaces, neighborhoods, and faith communities. We support individuals with Down syndrome and the communities they live in so that everyone can achieve their full potential.

To (1) Educate people in the community about mental illness and available resources, (2) advacate for optimal treatement, rehabilitation services, desirable living situations and mooningful work for all individuals coping with mental illness, (3) support those who are suffering from mental illness, their family and friends, and (4) eradicate the stigma surrounding these disorders by encouraging openness and by stressing that these illness are biological in nature.

Dell Children's Medical Center Foundation of Central Texas (CMC Foundation) serves as the fundraising organization for Dell Children's Medical Center, a member of the nonprofit Ascension (formerly Seton Healthcare).  Our mission inspires us to care for and improve the health of those we serve, with a special concern for the poor and the vulnerable. Care is provided to all children who come for treatment regardless of a family's ability to pay.

Empty Cradle is a non-profit organization run entirely by volunteers dedicated to providing support to families who have experienced the loss of a baby due to miscarriage, TFMR, stillbirth, infant death or SIDS.“To comfort the grief of an aching heart and ease the pain of an empty cradle." Our goal is to offer bereaved families hope through support by means of a resource volunteer network. All volunteers have experienced a loss during or shortly after pregnancy and support members through monthly meetings, written materials, internet resources, phone and email support, partnership with the health care community, memory boxes for local hospitals and remembrance events.

Dedicated to ending the cycle of domestic and sexual violence in Wake County, North Carolina, InterAct saves lives, rebuilds lives, and secures safer futures for victims and survivors and their families.

Founded in 1947, Green Chimneys is a not-for-profit organization helping young people ages 3-21 maximize their full potential by providing residential, educational, clinical and recreational services that create and nurture connections to the community and the natural world.

Magnificat offers refuge and hope to the destitute by creating homes where people of different mental abilities, social backgrounds, religions and cultures can live together in community. We provide a bridge back to the outside world, and the confidence to cross it. Our vision is to build community from diversity and welcome the stranger–the stranger being the one who is different from the other. Community is our greatest strength, and through community we strive to reveal the special value that each person has to offer. We are dedicated to the conviction that recovery is possible in a community that offers faith, respect, opportunity, work, a good home, education and friendship.
