Racing For Heroes empowers and saves Veteran lives through motorsports and community engagement. Racing For Heroes' primary focus is on suicide prevention, through assistance to disabled combat veterans with Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) and Traumatic Brain Injuries (TBI). Unlike many other programs, one of our key staff members is a Licensed Professional Counselor, specializing in PTSD and TBI who is also a disabled combat veteran. This ensures ongoing mental health support to both Racing For Heroes participants and their families, who are also included in our programs and services.
Their mission is to provide family support, counseling and financial assistance to those who have lost a loved one to suicide. They are people who have experienced the same loss and have an understanding of the amount of pain involved. There are no paid employees. All are volunteers.
Garrett’s Space works to reduce suicide and fill gaps in mental‑health supports for young adults (roughly ages 18–28) by offering peer‑centered wellness programming and building a holistic, non‑medical residential center where participants can connect, learn coping skills, and access supportive services.
