RAINN (Rape, Abuse & Incest National Network) is the nation's largest anti-sexual violence organization and was named one of "America's 100 Best Charities" by Worth magazine. RAINN created and operates the National Sexual Assault Hotline (800.656.HOPE and online.rainn.org) in partnership with more than 1,100 local rape crisis centers across the country and operates the DoD Safe Helpline for the Department of Defense. RAINN also carries out programs to prevent sexual violence, help victims and ensure that rapists are brought to justice.

Assault Prevention Education Services

SafeSpace offers victims of domestic violence safety, support and education, empowering them to create an independent life, free from violence. SafeSpace is the only Certified Domestic Violence Center saving lives 24/7 and preventing domestic violence throughout the Treasure Coast.

InterAct is a private, nonprofit United Way agency that provides safety, support, and awareness to victims and survivors of domestic violence and rape/sexual assault. InterAct also promotes violence-free relationships and communities through collaboration, public information, education, and advocacy. InterAct is the only confidential domestic violence prevention program serving Wake County's twelve municipalities. Learn more about InterAct's services.

Our mission is the prevention of domestic violence through the protection and empowerment of the victim, the rehabilitation of family members, the advocacy for social reform to prevent partner violence, and the education of the public about domestic violence and its consequences.

TO PREVENT DOMESTIC AND SEXUAL VIOLENCE AND TO EMPOWER VICTIMS THROUGH ADVOCACY, EDUCATION, SUPPORT SERVICES AND COLLABORATIVE PARTNERSHIPS. THIS IS ACCOMPLISHED THROUGH PROVISION OF EMERGENCY SHELTER, 24/7 CRISIS RESPONSE, CHILDREN'S PROGRAMMING, PRIMARY PREVENTION, LEGAL ADVOCACY, AND COMMUNITY OUTREACH.
