CARITAS AUSTRIA is an internationally operating non-profit organisation (donations are tax-deductible Reg. Nr. SO1126; equivalent 501(c)(3) US organization) under the mission of the Austrian Catholic church and pursues solely and directly charitable and benevolent objectives. CARITAS AUSTRIA relief work addresses the needy in their entirety, taking also into consideration their physical, psychological and spiritual-religious backgrounds. CARITAS AUSTRIA commits itself to providing assistance to people in need which is done without regard to creed, ethnicity or ideology of those seeking help. In its operations CARITAS AUSTRIA is guided by respect for the dignity and self-determination of the people it serves. There are more than 1,000 places throughout Austria where CARITAS AUSTRIA helps people in need. In the areas of caregiving, supporting people with disabilities, hospices, in the social counseling centers, on assignment for families in need or for older people who cannot afford heating. CARITAS AUSTRIA - this comprises its fulltime staff, but above all, also the roughly 50.000 volunteers and each and every one of you who supports our work. CARITAS AUSTRIA's main activities are aiming at social support and advocacy for those in need. These activities are taking place in Austria and abroad, whereas the main focus is lying on national work in Austria. Inside and outside of Austria, CARITAS AUSTRIA always aims at addressing the basic needs of the vulnerable taking also into consideration their social and cultural background.

The German Red Cross co-operates with other national Red Cross/ Red Crescent societies, the International Federation of Red Cross/ Red Crescent Societies and the International Committee of the Red Cross in numerous missions concerning: - Emergency Response (including quick assignment of pre-trained personnel and pre-packaged material, provision of relief materials, donations and contributions in cash and in kind to partner organizations) - Rehabilitation after disasters (Reconstruction of houses, medical facilities, and livelihood after disasters) - Development projects with focus on Disaster Risk Reduction / Climate Change Adaptation, Water and Sanitation, Basic Health Care, Livelihood and Capacity Building within Partner Red Cross/Red Crescent Societies and communities.

The mission of NMCHC is to strive to protect the rights of orphaned children in Nepal and help them with their overall development through protection and development initiative and advocacy on their issues.

Our mission is to develop and support people in need, in particular children and women in poor countries like Nepal and people in India living below poverty line. We develop our project strategies on our own together with local partners. In India e.g. we set in place a comprehensive, focused and tailored program in order to transform the society. The strategy is focused on children and women. For children we offer child emergency services, child care services and Skill Development and a Women empowerment program including Skill Development. This unique strategy perfectly fits together and will have a significant impact on the people in this area. We have a clear view on what is achievable and we only start programs with a high probability of success. Less is more is one of our principle. We do not want to run projects which are too big and only a few ones. Our aim is to run all projects as long-term projects, i.e. at least 25+ years.

Our declared objective is the PREVENTION of human trafficking and worst forms of abuse and sexual exploitation of girls and women in Nepal. The Mission: Our mission is to improve the quality of life of destitute single mothers/Grandmothers with dependent daughters and support them to live a life in safety and dignity.

To support low income schools in developing countries and/or disadvantaged community in order to enhance the educational opportunities that the school can provide and maintain. Sampark's mission is to help vulnerable and poor people, especially women, to gain direct control over and improve their lives. This is achieved through educational interventions primarily aimed at increasing people's income-earning ability Sampark prioritizes empowerment and builds women-owned and managed organizations. Sampark's mission is to work with some of the most vulnerable people, e.g. people who are deprived of their human rights: devadasis (Women who are dedicated to goddesses and not allowed to marry and eventually pushed into the sex trade, women are trafficked and pushed into the sex trade in Nepal, inter-state migrant workers who do not get their rights and entitlements, and their children who are deprived of state-provided child care services and school education are the groups among which Sampark works. Sampark adopts a three-pronged strategy for promoting gender equality and social inclusion. It enables access to resources and services provided by the government, and by collective microfinance and enterprise promotion. It creates voice, influence, and agency by promoting people's own institutions such as women's Self Help Groups. These groups come together once a week to pool small savings which are then circulated as loans. Once savings discipline is established, small loans are provided through the NGO or through banks for enterprise start-up and growth. Sampark has so far established 1,500 Self Help Groups of women, six cooperatives in India and one cooperative and union in Nepal covering a total of 21,000 women. It has established the first union of construction workers in the state of Karnataka, has supported 20,000 migrant workers, of which 8,000 have been admitted into the state's Karnataka Construction and Other Workers' Welfare Board, creating access to the state's welfare schemes. Sampark has worked with at least 41,000 women and migrant workers, and over 7,000 children. It currently benefits directly 15,000 families, reaching 60,000 persons. The third strategy includes influencing policy and institutional norms, through which Sampark distills the advocacy agendas and raises these with the government so that they adopt policies that are sensitive to the needs of the most vulnerable persons in society. For instance, Sampark has influenced the government to not only admit more and more migrant workers as members who can benefit their schemes, it has also supported the government with data to reach out to these workers at the time of COVID-19 when these workers are being excluded from state support. Sampark has always promoted local leaders among the community, which is evidenced by the establishment and strengthening of cooperatives and unions, led by the community, especially women. These cooperatives have won awards by the district administration and recognized by different ministries and provided with several grants for building their assets and businesses, e.g. lands and buildings for their cooperatives, businesses such as pulses milling, etc. Using these strategies, Sampark achieves its mission of mainstreaming the marginalized sections of society, where marginalization and deprivation could be through sexual exploitation, economic exploitation, or migration.

MISSION STATEMENT Our Sansar is a dynamic and responsive International charity providing education, shelter and welfare to the most disadvantaged and vulnerable communities in Nepal. Our programmes focus on sustainability and empowerment of local communities. Our mission is to provide education, shelter and welfare, to the most disadvantaged children for whom little or no help is forthcoming. AIMS The main aims of the organisation are: To make a serious and sustainable impact upon impoverished communities by tackling both the causes and effects of poverty To assist street children and young people from less fortunate families in their personal development To work in partnership with local schools, communities and organisations to facilitate social change To assist with the advancement of education in Nepal, formal and informal for street children. To foster an open and inclusive environment for the sharing and development of skills and ideas OBJECTIVES We achieve our aims by: Training local teachers to benefit a maximum amount of children Establishing a children's home for street children to provide them with shelter, education, care and skills to build a happy future Sending qualified teachers to Nepal to transfer their knowledge and skills to the local teachers Establishing links between UK and Nepalese schools to facilitate cultural exchange and assist the most impoverished schools in Nepal We achieve our objectives through inclusive and innovative overseas projects, targeting communities that receive little or no help from other sources, governmental or otherwise.

Himalayan Human Rights Monitors (HimRights) is a non-governmental, non-partisan, and non-profit organization committed to defending the rights of poor, marginalized and socially excluded communities and individuals, with a special focus on women, children and youth. HimRights works in affiliation with all major human rights institutions based in Nepal and abroad, pursuing a three fold approach of (1) monitoring, reporting and responding to human rights violations; and (2) promoting good governance and (3) advocating and training for policy change rights based approach, influence, awareness raising, and capacity building to cope with and respond to changing human rights dynamics in Nepal. HimRights was informally formed in mid 1990s and was officially registered in 1999. The current team consists of lawyers, teachers, journalists, anthropologists, conflict and development specialists, social workers and human rights activists. Together, these individuals bring decades of individual and collective professional experience to HimRights, enabling HimRights to work effectively in the areas of human rights, anti- trafficking and safe migration, good governance, conflict mitigation, reconciliation, and peace building. Population focus Minorities (indigenous Janajati and Dalit) uprooted, displaced, and specially-abled who are marginalized with special focus on women, children and youth, who transcend all categories. Strategic focus > To monitor and document rights, peace, justice and development findings to better advocate and lobby for structural and policy changes to align with human rights instruments. > To advocate against human trafficking at community, national and international levels, to reduce the incidence of human trafficking within and outside of Nepal. > To protect uprooted and displaced persons right to migrate as well as return to their place of origin discourage their discrimination Working Approaches > Monitoring and reporting human rights violation > Responding to these violations > Advocating, and training for policy change influence, raised awareness and improved capacity of bodies to cope with and respond to changing human rights dynamics in Nepal. HimRights promotes participation, inclusion and equity through right based conflict sensitive and good governance principles.

On the 11th of March 2011, Japan was hit by one of the most powerful earthquakes ever known to have hit the country. Following the earthquakes, large tsunamis devastated Japan's north-eastern coast, damaging or destroying nearly 40,000 buildings, leaving 20,000 dead. IsraAID's first team arrived on the ground 4 days after the tsunami, and distributed aid, cleaned houses, created child-friendly spaces, and rebuilt schools. During this period, IsraAID discovered a rapidly growing need for psycho-social and post-traumatic care, and has decided to launch the "Japan IsraAID Support Program (JISP)" in August 2013. Drawing on local and foreign knowledge, IsraAID and JISP have provided direct support to the victims and trained thousands of professionals and care providers in MHPSS, offering PTSD prevention, stress-management and leadership workshops. Founded in the aftermath of the great disaster in Tohoku, JISP now operates as one of the leading humanitarian organizations based in Japan's Tohoku Region where very few international NGOs activate.
