We believe that learning and teaching the rights and responsibilities of citizenship in a democracy as well as the rules and rewards of entrepreneurship are the necessary ingredients for our success as a community.Pars Equality Center achieves its mission primarily by providing extensive social and legal services. Our Persian-speaking staff advocates for families and individuals in need with a strong focus on refugees, asylees, and those newcomers living in poverty.

Butterfly Haven's mission is to enrich the lives of children impacted by foster care and families in crisis situations.

Our mission is is to strengthen and preserve human rights, resilience, and dignity in “wounded” communities through culturally sensitive and innovative mental health, trauma, and resiliency training programs designed in partnership with local, community-based organizations in the US and internationally. Care for Children is a global children’s charity with a vision and mission to see children across the world moved out of orphanages and into local families. We provide specialised training and support to orphanages, enabling them to set-up and run their own foster care programmes, as a safe and positive alternative to institutional care. This means that local authorities can start moving children out of orphanages and into local, loving families, where each child can be nurtured to reach their potential.

Knoxville Family Justice Center’s (KFJC) mission is to facilitate a coordinated and comprehensive approach to family violence through collaboration, education, and advocacy. Their vision for the Knox County, Tennessee area is to create a community of strong, healthy families from the devastating effects of violence.

The mission of Everyday Blessings, Inc. is to provide high quality foster care for sibling groups through a live-in caregiver model.  We partner with community agencies and the children's families to transition each child into a safe, stable and permanent home.  This work is done while treating each child with the love, dignity and respect that they deserve.

The First Amendment Coalition protects and promotes a free press, freedom of expression and the people’s right to know. Nonpartisan and nonprofit, FAC believes that the broadest range of engaged and informed communities is essential to the health of our democracy – that the values expressed by the First Amendment provide a blueprint for an inclusive, equitable society and a responsive, accountable government. To that end, FAC educates, advocates and litigates to advance government transparency and First Amendment protections for all.
