The ACLU of San Diego & Imperial Counties is a prominent force for the protection and expansion of fundamental rights in California’s second-most populous county (San Diego), its county with the highest percentage of Latino residents (85%) (Imperial), and the state’s southern borderlands. From the courtroom to the state legislature to city hall to the court of public opinion, ACLU-SDIC fights for equity on multiple fronts. Our mission is “To protect and expand fairness, equity, and freedom through community engagement, building power, policy advocacy, and impact litigation.”

Women Thrive Worldwide’s (Women Thrive) mission is to advocate for change at the U.S. and global levels so that women and men share equally in the enjoyment of basic capabilities, economic assets, voice, access to decent livelihoods, and freedom from fear and violence. We ground our work in the realities of women living in poverty, partner with locally based women’s organizations, and create powerful coalitions to advance the interests of women, families, and communities worldwide. Our vision is a world in which women and men work together as equal partners to secure better lives for themselves and their families.

We believe every person has a story and every story has value. We exist to empower communities to end the cycle of human trafficking by starting and supporting social enterprises that raise awareness, offer opportunities for economic independence for survivors and fund the fight against human trafficking. Currently Stories Foundation operates the Freedom Food Truck and Storyteller Catering. In the future we hope to operate a Cafe and sell food products. All with the goal of spreading awareness about human trafficking and empowering people to make a difference through purposeful purchasing as a first step

The National LGBTQ Task Force advances full freedom, justice and equality for LGBTQ people. We are building a future where everyone can be free to be their entire selves in every aspect of their lives. Today, despite all the progress we’ve made to end discrimination, millions of LGBTQ people face barriers in every aspect of their lives: in housing, employment, healthcare, retirement, and basic human rights. Planned Parenthood has been a trusted provider of reproductive health care and comprehensive sexual health education for over 100 years. We believe that reproductive rights are basic human rights and that everyone should have access to quality health care. Our clinical care, advocacy, and education programs work hand-in-hand to create stronger, healthier, and more equitable communities.

YW Boston's mission is to eliminate racism, empower women, and promote peace, justice, freedom, and dignity for all. As the first YWCA in the nation, YW Boston has been at the forefront of advancing equity for over 150 years. Through our Diversity, Equity & Inclusion Services, advocacy work, girls leadership program, community partnerships, and events, we help individuals and organizations change policies, practices, attitudes, and behaviors with the goal of creating more inclusive environments. YW Boston focused on lasting, systemic change so that women, people of color, and especially women of color can succeed.

The Women’s Center of Montgomery County (WCMC) is a volunteer, community organization with a primary focus on freedom from domestic violence and other forms of abuse. Their programs, policies and procedures reflect their strong commitment to empowering women. Their organizational purpose is to eliminate domestic violence so that individuals can live safer, more stable lives and thrive. Through their programs and services, they work to save lives, promote self-sufficiency, create institutional change and reduce the impact of domestic violence. Secondary goals include providing enrichment opportunities for the staff and volunteers; promoting positive change toward gender equality; and building our capacity by increasing volunteerism, funding and awareness.

Our mission is to aid and support children suffering from poverty, sickness, lack of education or who have experienced physical or moral violence, by offering them the opportunity and the hope of a new life. It is an independent, lay organisation and is also designated an ONLUS (Non-profit organisation of social value). It operates without discrimination of culture, ethnicity and religion and upholds the United Nations rights of the child. The Foundation works around the world and is closest to the weakest and most neglected children offering them food, medicine, health care, education and programmes for social reintegration. In pursuing its goal, Mission Bambini is inspired by the following values: freedom, justice, truth, respect for others and solidarity.

Free the Slaves works to free the 21 to 30 million people in slavery around the world today, and help them rebuild their lives, by transforming the social, economic and political factors that allow slavery to persist. We support community-driven interventions in partnership with local groups that help people to sustainable freedom and dismantle a region’s system of slavery. We convince governments, international development organizations and businesses to implement key changes required for global eradication. We document and disseminate leading-edge practices to help the anti-slavery movement work more effectively. We raise awareness and promote action by opinion leaders, decision makers and the public. Polaris is leading a data-driven social justice movement to fight sex and labor trafficking at the massive scale of the problem – 25 million people worldwide deprived of the freedom to choose how they live and work. For more than a decade, Polaris has assisted thousands of victims and survivors through the U.S. National Human Trafficking Hotline, helped ensure countless traffickers were held accountable and built the largest known U.S. data set on actual trafficking experiences. With the guidance of survivors, we use that data to improve the way trafficking is identified, how victims and survivors are assisted, and how communities, businesses and governments can prevent human trafficking by transforming the underlying inequities and oppressions that make it possible.

We were founded in 1972 as the nation’s first legal and civil rights organization serving low-paid, immigrant, and underserved Asian American and Pacific Islander communities. Within that broad political umbrella are shared histories and stories, as well as unique systemic inequities and barriers to justice and freedom for different ethnicities. We are committed to serving the vast diversity of communities of Asian descent, including Arab, Middle Eastern, and Muslim communities. Our fights for justice and equity are deeply informed by and in solidarity with fights for liberation by and for Black, Indigenous, and Latinx communities.
