The Center for Women and Families provides trauma-informed advocacy and support for individuals, families and communities affected by intimate partner violence and sexual assault. We also offer assistance to family, friends, and partners close to survivors of intimate partner violence and sexual assault. We mitigate the impact of trauma by building resiliency and reducing risk factors at all levels.

MMIW Chahta is a non-profit 501(3)c organization with deep roots in our Indigenous community. Our primary goal is to increase public awareness about the disproportionately high rates of violence against our Indigenous people. We aim to end the epidemic of violence by a multi-faceted approach with awareness, advocacy, support and addressing the systematic issues that contribute to the crisis by raising awareness through social media campaigns, public events and educational initiatives. MMIW Chahta also honors victims through artistic projects, vigils, our annual events and national day's of awareness. MMIW Chahta provides direct and indirect support to those affected by this crisis. We offer guidance and emotional support for grieving families by helping with funeral preparations & expenses, practical assistance with case navigation, including communication with law enforcement and creating/distributing missing person flyers. Our organization also addresses many underlying factors such as addiction and homelessness.
