Women's and Children's Crisis Shelter is committed to provide safety, shelter and hope to victims of domestic violence.

We will work toward the elimination of domestic violence and provide emergency and support services for survivors of domestic violence.For over 37 years, Domestic Violence Shelter and Services, Inc. (DVSS) has advanced its work to prevent domestic violence and provide support services for survivors of domestic violence and their children. Services are available twenty four hours a day. Our primary service area is New Hanover County. (Other areas are served as needed.)

Wuqu' Kawoq's mission is to address the barriers to excellent health care that the majority of Guatemala's indigenous Maya population face, including principally the lack of access to health care in their own languages. As such, Wuqu' Kawoq develops primary care and health programs within a larger context of community vitality, family stability,and Mayan language revitalization.

By developing innovative and sustainable media platforms for production and distribution, focused on the needs and requirements of the poor and voiceless, we empower communities to create and share their own solutions to rights violations.

Mission: to identify, provide victim advocacy, respond to and treat child abuse and neglect in Buncombe county, NC; to educate and empower the public, protect children and reduce trauma through a coordinated community effort. Vision: to set the standard for providing quality, effective, evidence-based programs for the prevention, education and treatment of child abuse and neglect. By creating a community response to child abuse and neglect through a system collaboration, we will address abuse in a more enlightened, efficient, and effective manner.

Aid for Women serves thousands of women annually in the Chicagoland area who are facing unexpected pregnancies. Our life-affirming services are offered to clients free-of-charge and include: compassionate counseling, pregnancy tests, ultrasound exams, Earn While You Learn Program, pregnancy and parent support groups, residential programs as well as medical and community referrals.
