OUR VISION: Creating sustainable communities through caring for, and protecting endangered captive and wild Asian elephants. OUR MISSION Abolish elephant slavery by educating and enlightening people about the plight of captive and wild Asian elephants, protect them by mitigating human elephant conflicts in captivity and in the wild, and rehabilitate the captive ones in elephant havens where they can roam freely.

We offer local leaders capacity building, collaborative forums and the funding support they need to improve their communities. We support grassroots change makers in the United States and in developing countries in four impact areas - governance, education, healthcare and economic development.

Our mission is to empower communities to strengthen languages, culture and the environment by using the internet more effectively. Our primary vehicle of engagement is a multilingual cultural wiki designed, populated, and used by the community to help the community satifsfy their evolving community needs. The BASAbali wiki has engaged by nearly 2.5 million to date. The wiki empowerment process is now being replicated in Makassar, Indonesia. BASAbali is a registered nonprofit in the US. Kiran, Inc. is a multi-cultural, non-religious, community based, South Asian organization. We promote self-reliance and empowerment of South Asian women & men who are in crisis through outreach, peer support,and referrals in a confidential manner. We spread awareness in the community on household and domestic violence faced by South Asian women & in many cases also by men. We cooperate and collaborate with organizations in the USA and elsewhere with similar objectives. Countries in South Asia include Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Bhutan, Burma, India, Nepal, Pakistan, and Sri Lanka. Though there are differences in language, customs, and religions across these countries, these regions share many basic cultural and historical similarities.

Our mission is to stop the cycle of child abuse and neglect by strengthening the family through home-based intervention programs designed to include not only parents but entire families. Programs focus directly on contextual factors such as poverty, single parenthood, family violence, mental health or addiction issues, patterns of abuse that can increase stress, weaken the family and illicit abusive behaviors. To be the leading advocate for Delaware’s children. We provide creative prevention and treatment programs that meet the changing needs of families. We serve dependent, neglected and abused children and their parents. We provide programs for those involved in domestic violence situations, especially children. By protecting the victims and treating those responsible for acts of domestic violence we help children heal.

NW Children's Foundation works to end the cycle of child abuse and neglect. Guided by the belief that all children deserve a safe and healthy start, NW Children’s Foundation is a leader in the child welfare field, impacting the lives of children and families in two distinct ways: through Grantmaking, which supports prevention, early intervention and treatment programs to heal abused children, strengthen families and help struggling youth; and Educational Outreach, by convening multiple sectors of the community to improve solutions in child welfare.

Bethany House of Northern Virginia is located in Fairfax County, Virginia, providing emergency shelter and support services to women and children escaping domestic violence. We help women and their children who have suffered from domestic violence regain health and dignity. We provide women with safe, restorative care while giving them the support and resources they need to transition into independent lives free from abuse. We are non-jurisdictional. We accept women and children from across Northern Virginia, from the entire Washington, DC metropolitan area, from other states and beyond. Once our families are stabilized, we help them get reestablished in their community by providing temporary housing and support. Realizing the vision of our founder Doris Ward, since 1979, BHNV has been a safe haven for women and children suffering the nightmare of domestic violence while also serving as a resource to our community at large. BHNV is funded by grants and donations from businesses, charitable foundations, churches, organizations, and individual community members.
