Friends Women's Association, FWA, is a grass-roots organization in Burundi, addresses the needs of women in conflict, poverty, HIV/AIDS, and sexual violence. The FWA health care clinic focuses on treating both physical and psycho-social needs. FWA provides a comprehensive health care to women and their families, to promote women's leadership and autonomy and to strengthen peace and solidarity in Kamenge, a slum in Bujumbura and in other communities of Burundi.

The mission of Family Violence Prevention Services, Inc. is to break the cycle of violence and to strengthen families by providing the necessary tools for self-sufficiency through delivery of emergency shelter, transitional housing, individual counseling and support groups, education, effective parenting education, and specialized intervention with youth and the elderly.

THE WOMEN'S CENTER OF NORTHWEST INDIANA PROVIDES FREE SUPPORT FOR SERVICES TO WOMEN AND THEIR CHILDREN.

The Los Angeles House of Ruth provides emergency, transitional, and permanent supportive housing plus wrap‑around services for homeless women and their children in Los Angeles. They combine shelter with case management, counseling, education and after‑care to help residents move into stable, permanent housing and independence.
