The main aims of the organization are: To equip women with knowledge and skills that would help them manage all their affairs on their own - In other words, help women attain empowerment; To capacitate women through leadership development, community organization, promotion of self-help groups: To organize skill development and income generating programs and allow participation of women in all stages of project implementation that included monitoring and evaluation; To strive for a gender just society where women have the knowledge, right, freedom and capacity to participate equally with men in the governance of the society.

The mission of Women Helping Women is to end domestic violence through advocacy, education and prevention; and to offer safety, support and empowerment to women and children, victims of domestic violence.

MISSION Women for Afghan Women (WAW) is dedicated to protecting and promoting the rights of disenfranchised Afghan women and girls in Afghanistan and the U.S. In particular, WAW works to help Afghan women and girls exercise their rights to pursue their individual potential to self-determination, and to representation in all areas of life—political, social, cultural, and economic. Women Thrive Worldwide’s (Women Thrive) mission is to advocate for change at the U.S. and global levels so that women and men share equally in the enjoyment of basic capabilities, economic assets, voice, access to decent livelihoods, and freedom from fear and violence. We ground our work in the realities of women living in poverty, partner with locally based women’s organizations, and create powerful coalitions to advance the interests of women, families, and communities worldwide. Our vision is a world in which women and men work together as equal partners to secure better lives for themselves and their families.

Aid for Women serves thousands of women annually in the Chicagoland area who are facing unexpected pregnancies. Our life-affirming services are offered to clients free-of-charge and include: compassionate counseling, pregnancy tests, ultrasound exams, Earn While You Learn Program, pregnancy and parent support groups, residential programs as well as medical and community referrals. The mission of Women Against Abuse is to provide quality, compassionate, and nonjudgmental services in a manner that fosters self-respect and independence in persons experiencing intimate partner violence, and to lead the struggle to end domestic violence through advocacy and community education.

Our primary purpose is to increase public awareness of women’s achievements and their roles in history and to provide positive public images of women and girls. To fulfill these purposes, Wild West Women, Inc. will, with a particular emphasis on films concerning women’s issues, women’s history and women creators: produce educational films and accompanying educational materials; distribute educational films and videos to the general public; provide training in independent and educational film making, with special efforts to include women and girls of diverse cultures; and provide and sponsor other public educational film, video and arts activities.
