RI provides emergency relief, rehabilitation and development assistance to victims of natural disasters and civil conflicts worldwide. RI's programs bridge the gap between immediate and long-term community development. This orientation promotes self-reliance and the peaceful reintegration of populations. RI's programs are designed with the input and participation of target beneficiary groups such as women, children and the elderly, whose special needs are often neglected in disasters.

The American Chestnut Foundation has one simple goal: to restore the American chestnut to its native forests. Destroyed by an imported blight many consider the worst environmental disaster of the twentieth century, the American chestnut was virtually eliminated from the eastern hardwood forest between 1904 and 1940. With its loss, wildlife populations plummeted; never to return to former levels. With recent developments in genetics, there is promise that this critically important wildlife food source and timber tree will again become part of our natural heritage. To make this possibility a reality, a group of prominent scientists, in 1983, established the non-profit research-oriented American Chestnut Foundation (TACF). The Foundation's mission is simple: to restore the American chestnut as an integral part of the eastern forest ecosystem. TACF is employing traditional plant breeding techniques, backed by advanced research methods, to develop a blight resistant American chestnut tree. TACF is restoring a species - and in the process, creating a template for restoration of other tree and plant species.

The Paleontological Research Institution pursues and integrates education and research, and interprets the history and systems of the Earth and its life, to increase knowledge, educate society, and encourage wise stewardship of the Earth.

Cyber Strong Nebraska works to strengthen cybersecurity across Nebraska by providing education, practical training, and resources. It runs statewide initiatives and hands‑on exercises (like the Cyber Tatanka cyber‑range event) to build awareness, develop defender skills, and foster public–private partnerships that improve resilience of individuals, businesses, and critical infrastructure.

Sea Turtle Recovery (STR) is dedicated to the rehabilitation, preservation and conservation of sea turtles. STR’s goal is to rehabilitate sick or injured sea turtles for their release back to the wild. Sea Turtle Recovery also educates the public on the important ecological role of sea turtles, threats endangering them, and ways to protect their future.

The Missouri Prairie Foundation works to protect and restore Missouri’s prairie and other native grasslands by acquiring and managing prairie lands, supporting restoration and scientific research, and offering outreach and education. It also promotes the use of native plants through its Grow Native! program and helps coordinate invasive-plant control via the Missouri Invasive Plant Council.

Foundation Initiatives Research funding for projects to advance the understanding and practical application of microelectronics and microelectronic packaging knowledge. Awards conferred annually to encourage the study of theory and application of microelectronics and microelectronic packaging by university and college students and practitioners. In nearly all cases, the company or group of contributors that fund the award will name the award, such as the Sidney J. Stein Award for Graduate Studies or the Motorola Innovation & Design Competition. Developmental grants to foster the advancement of business through the application of microelectronics and microelectronic packaging concepts and theories. A grant to prove that something "can be designed" that would benefit all companies and individual members of IMAPS who could then take the developmental study results back to their company as the starting point for their proprietary design projects. Competitive scholarships awarded to individuals pursuing a graduate degree in microelectronics and microelectronic packaging. The size and nature of scholarships will be significant to the point that they attract contributions to the endowed fund that makes the scholarships possible and meaningful to supporters and scholarship winners. Industry-wide statistical studies that go beyond the data and objectivity of any one company or consortium of companies, to more clearly define the impact and strategic role microelectronics and microelectronic packaging plays in the total supply chain of electronics projects.

Brad and Vicki Margus founded the A-T Children's Project when two of their young sons were diagnosed with A-T in 1993. Ataxia-telangiectasia is a genetic disease that attacks in early childhood. It progressively affects coordination, predisposes children to lethal cancers, and severely compromises their immune systems. Children with A-T are usually unable to walk by the age of ten and rarely live beyond their teens. By supporting and coordinating aggressive research, we hope to give them a chance to live and to enjoy life's possibilities.

The China California Heart Watch brings together experts from the United States, China, and around the world. Together, we use innovative and sustainable methods to combat the growing epidemic of heart disease in Yunnan Province, China. Our overarching mission is to serve the people of Yunnan through: (1) Training local healthcare professionals in the screening, diagnosis, and treatment of heart disease; (2) Improving access to high-quality healthcare and life-saving treatments; (3) Researching the epidemiology of heart disease, the effectiveness of our interventions, and other topics of critical value to rural Chinese populations. The activities of the China California Heart Watch generate no profits. We operate solely through the generosity and vision of our donors, foundations, and granting agencies. The goal of this organization is to teach the youth about the ocean, how it affects our daily lives and how to respect it. It is also to explain the importance of sustainable fishing and how to practice it effectively. We do this by offering free fishing opportunities for underprivileged youth from title 1 schools. We want to help the new generation be able to make a positive impact on society and the environment and to teach them to spread their knowledge to those around them. We hope to inspire young people to practice these methods of sustainability on their own time and overall make the world a better place.
