The Foundation for National Parks & Wildlife has a simple mission - to create parks and save species. In creating parks, we work with State and Federal governments to identify potential land purchases, and then assist with funds to acquire that land. We don't hold any land - we pass it straight over to the Government to add to the National Park portfolio and it is then managed by the state rangers. In saving species, we work extensively with volunteers, scientists, governments, local communities and other organisations to deliver community-based conservation projects and research nation-wide, including developing corridors for native animals, connecting disparate groups of species to allow them to survive and thrive. Partnership is at the very heart of our philosophy and is central to everything we do.

We are a catalyst for social change through innovative philanthropic solutions to challenging social problems. We engage donors and build partnerships; undertake best practice grant making and provide visionary leadership to create common agendas.

Key Principles: Kickstart Kids International is an entirely volunteer run, not for profit, non-government development organisation. In everything that we do, our primary goal is empowerment - to provide support to local communities that will help them to help themselves. We achieve this in three ways: Best practice quality of care for orphaned and disadvantaged children - partnering with globally recognised leaders who share our passion for providing children with the best possible Kickstart in life. Financial sustainability - utilising a profit for purpose model, we provide local communities with income streams to fund the operations of social projects. Environmental sustainability - accessing technologies and approaches that ensure sustainable consumption of food, energy and water.

Taghyeer Organization/ We Love Reading Program is an innovative model that provides a practical, cost efficient, sustainable, grassroots approach empowering communities from low and mid income communities around the world to create changemakers through reading. WLR supports the activism of local volunteers to increase reading levels among children 2-10 by focusing on the readaloud experience to instill the love of reading for pleasure among children to become lifelong learners. We aim to create system change. We create changemakers by recruiting and training adults and youth from local communities to provide read-aloud sessions for local children in safe, public spaces. Each year, WLR volunteers read to tens of thousands of children in public parks, community centers, mosques and other faith-based settings, nurseries, refugee camps, and other locales. We serve diverse populations and communities irrespective of gender, religion, social status, disability, literacy level, educational experience, etc. The training is either implemented in face-to-face settings or via our online platform to allow reaching wider audience of people wanting to volunteer and become reading ambassadors.
