Africa Matters is a youth-led organisation committed to upskilling and empowering African youth to change the narrative through capacity building and community impact projects. We believe that Africa's large and youthful population is an opportunity for the development and continued growth of Africa. Our why is that we want to see all African youth become change-makers who empower those around them. African youth, "we are the ones we've been waiting for'. We have impacted the lives of over 18 000 African youth and diaspora through our Schools Leadership Development Program (SLDP), Young Leadership Development Program (YLDP), Africa Matters Ambassadors Program (AMAP) and Events. Our events feature, networking evenings, workshops on African leadership and women empowerment, school talks on youth empowerment, annual Summits titled 'Towards a Better Africa', and an active online platform for robust dialogue. We exist to upskill and empower youth to better their communities.

American Friends of Gatoto (AFG) is a U.S.-based 501(c)3 established to raise funds to support the Gatoto Primary School and its community in the Mukuru kwa Reuben slum located on the outskirts of Nairobi, Kenya. Largely run by volunteers, the board covers our minimal overhead so that 100% of contributions raised can go directly to support the school. The Gatoto Primary School is a pre-K thru 8 community school located in an "informal settlement" in an industrial area of Nairobi. As such, it receives no funding from the government and offers education to a community of kids who would otherwise not receive one. In the miles of urban sprawl consisting of wall-to-wall tin shacks, Gatoto is an oasis that gives kids space to run, play, and be safe. It provides access to food and sanitation, as well as a life-changing education. Founded 25 years ago by community leaders, it provides a non-religiously affiliated education to more than 1,000 children equally divided between boys and girls. In addition, students receive two hot meals a day. This is often their only food and a strong reason for parents to keep their kids in school, resulting in an impressive 98% student retention rate. AFG's support helps fill the gap between the $12 annual tuition charged to parents and the $300 actual cost per student. AFG also supports the surrounding community through Gatoto School's umbrella organization, the Gatoto Integrated Development Program (GIDP), a registered Kenyan charity. The school employs a social worker who supports families struggling with malnutrition, low wages, many health issues including HIV/AIDS, and other family problems. For high-achieving students whose test scores allow them to continue their education, GIDP offers financial grants to give access to secondary, college and even graduate-level education; a pathway otherwise almost impossible for a Mukuru child to achieve. It also offers alumni mentorship, and many alums return to the school to help teach while saving for future studies. In addition, AFG specifically supports other programs, capital projects, and emergency response funding in this high-performing, community-directed primary school.

'U Nine Change' is as international NGO(NPO) to active medical and education projects mainly and to give the right to happiness for all children, preferentially disadvantaged children, of the world by changing and improving their lives through treatment and support for those in the blind spots around the world since 2014 in South Korea. We have 9 participation projects. these are medical sponsorship, free clinic support, burn therapy and prevention program, international medical volunteer dispatch, education support fund, educational facility support, playground installation, regional development and emergency relief business. Our motto is "If you need someone, we will be by your side."

Zahana in Madagascar is dedicated to participatory rural development, education, revitalization of traditional Malagasy medicine, reforestation, and sustainable agriculture. It is Zahana's philosophy that participatory development must be based on local needs and solutions proposed by local people. It means asking communities what they need and working with them collaboratively so they can achieve their goals. Each community's own needs are unique and require a tailor -made response

Cherish Others Organisation- Kenya was registered in 2004 as a local non-governmental organization dedicated to uplift the lives of the vulnerable members of the community that include the women, girl child, the youth and the orphans. Cherish Others exists to improve the livelihoods of the resource poor communities through information sharing, education and providing support and care while working with them towards reducing HIV/AIDS prevalence within their environment. The organization contributes to advocacy campaigns on issues affecting the girl child, such as education, girl child rights and adolescent pregnancies. It is also involved in mentoring young girls for professional development by conducting alternative rite of passage ceremonies.

Who We Are The Foundation for Women's Health, Research and Development - FORWARD - is an African Diaspora women's campaign and support charity (registered in the UK). We exist to advance sexual and reproductive health and rights as central to the wellbeing of African women and girls. We work with individuals, communities and organisations to transform harmful practices and improve the quality of life of vulnerable girls and women. FORWARD was established in 1983 in the UK, in response to the emerging problems caused by female genital mutilation being seen by health professionals. Since this time FORWARD has been working to eliminate the practice and provide support to women affected by FGM. At our twenty year review FORWARD formally incorporated into its mandate other issues allied to Female Genital Mutilation, in particular vesico-vagina and recto-vagina fistulae and child and forced marriage. Action10 is a Swedish non-profit, non-religious and non-political membership organisation operating on a voluntarily basis and with charity funding. The vision of Action10 is a world free from extreme poverty, where everyone has access to education, employment, healthcare and social security as well as safe water, food, sanitation and energy. Countries are run by good governance and have sustainable economy. To pursue its vision the mission of Action10 is to be an independent initiative with a broad and flexible mandate to work with stakeholders and partners on projects and programs that address international development. Action10 operates in a sustainable, effective and efficient manner, through its unique strategy SEEDS (Sustainable Effective Efficient Development Strategy) The over-arching value platform of Action10 is that it is the Government at the macro level and the Civil Society Organsisations and the individual extreme poor at the micro level, who are the experts on the actions to be taken, and who have the capacity and knowledge to drive the development processes forward. But that the environment and the infrastructure where they operate hinder the process. The aim of the Action10 approach is therefore to offer support to Governments and to the extreme poor addressing the infrastructural and financial challenges to eradicate extreme poverty. It is the dreams of the extreme poor which is the core of the Action10 approach. Those dreams constitute the vision of each program. The mission is what needs to be done to address these dreams. After having identified the dreams the Action10 approach compiles the challenges that the extreme poor face. Those challenges describe the reasons for why they cannot reach their dreams. We call the compilation of challenges Outcome challenges. Linked to each Outcome challenge is a Progress marker. The purpose of the Progress markers is to enable evaluation planning of the program activities. Thus the Progress markers are well defined indicators which can be easily monitored and assessed. The Outcome Challenges also define the Strategy Map. The Strategy Map is a set of concrete activities that must be addressed to reach the dreams. The concept of Outcome Challenges, Progress Markers and Strategy Map were initially invented by Earl, Carden et al. in 2001 and are components of the Outcome Mapping tool. After the Strategy Map has been defined, a sustainable economy scheme is developed. The Programs are either a social enterprises or components of the national development program. A social enterprise shall generate revenue which covers all program costs, as well as pays company tax in the country of operation. If no revenue can be expected short term, which can be the case with for example basic education or social security programs, then the program is funded as a component of the national authorities development program. A crucial component is also that all partners have strong enough institutional capacity to manage the programs. Each partner are encouraged to annually assess and their own institutional capacity. Action10 is offering tools for the assessment as well as training and coaching on finance administration and accounting. All of the above aspects are, in the Action10 approach, subjected to real-time evaluation planning (EP). Action10 has developed a tool for the EP wich contains five steps. The first measures to what extent the progress markers have been achieved, the second the operational aspects, the third the strategy, the fourth the sustainable economy and the fifth the institutional capacity. The United Nations states that in 2013 1.2 billion people still live in extreme poverty. Extreme poor have been defined by the UN as those people earning an income of less than $ 1.25 per day. UN states that the Millennium Development Goals which were identified and agreed on in year 2000 by 197 heads of states and which were to be achieved in 2015, are far from being reached. The Action10 approach benefits from the lessons learnt from previous international aid programs. Through an analysis of previous aid programs, Ten Actions were identified which, if addressed thoroughly in all development programs, are expected to reduce and eventually eradicate extreme poverty. All the Ten actions are thoroughly captured in all Action10 activities. Our Ten Actions are based on these 10 principles; 1. Needs driven program 2. Equal partnership 3.
