Our mission is to: a) contribute to a fully functioning, peaceful, abundant and biologically diverse Earth through co-operative efforts for the ecological restoration of degraded lands; b) stimulate and support community based initiative, leadership, and capacity to implement activities and undertake interventions that result in restored ecological function, climate resilience, biodiversity enrichment, and restored water cycles while at the same time enhancing livelihoods and human well-being; c) disseminate knowledge, innovations and insights emanating from these community-based initiatives to policy makers, academia, practitioners and the general public; and d) train large numbers of people to restore the fundamental ecological integrity of earth, and to connect knowledge and expertise about these activities worldwide.

The German Red Cross co-operates with other national Red Cross/ Red Crescent societies, the International Federation of Red Cross/ Red Crescent Societies and the International Committee of the Red Cross in numerous missions concerning: - Emergency Response (including quick assignment of pre-trained personnel and pre-packaged material, provision of relief materials, donations and contributions in cash and in kind to partner organizations) - Rehabilitation after disasters (Reconstruction of houses, medical facilities, and livelihood after disasters) - Development projects with focus on Disaster Risk Reduction / Climate Change Adaptation, Water and Sanitation, Basic Health Care, Livelihood and Capacity Building within Partner Red Cross/Red Crescent Societies and communities.

There are 263 million children and youth who do not attend school. Solve Education! is a not-for-profit organization that is committed to providing an opportunity to receive quality education for these students, as well as for the millions of others receiving an education which fails to improve their income-generating prospects. Leveraging the growing ubiquity of broadband and smartphones, we are experimenting with how to use game mechanics and artificial intelligence to enable the mass-customization of education. To give underprivileged children and young people the chance to develop themselves intellectually, emotionally, psychologically, and spiritually by means of education and personal coaching. The organization wants to see young people developing their (hidden) talents and gifting and in doing so escape the vicious circle of poverty.
